Unhappy Sonic

Just got home from work and I stopped off at sonic for a quick burger and tots.

Sonic has always been one of my most favorite place to stop and eat while traveling, so of course I have ate at many many different sonics. Man can you tell the difference between a good sonic and a bad sonic.

I ordered my usual, sonic burger, extra pickles, extra onions and, extra tomatoes and a large tot. Well finally arrived after a long wait, of course I start in on my tots first. To my surprise its not a large but a small tot.

I then go and open my burger and of course im struck down again by just two tomatoes, 2 pickles and almost no onions. ./wrist

Why must they hurt a hungry man so?

anyone else have some sad/horrible dining stories?

~Lev

I went to 5 different DairyQueens in the Mesa/Chandler area one night looking for some BusterBars and they were all out... and at the last one, I had it and blew up at the kid behind the counter, screaming and throwing my arms in the air, and I kicked the door open on my way out.

ok so maybe I exagerated a little.... but I was upset about not finding any buster bars

I manage a Steakhouse and Grill. Don't get me started on the horrible things customers do in the name of "the customer is always right"!

THEY ARE NOT. YOU JUST CAN'T TELL THEM SO!!!

I hate Sonic's food. It's a great place for drinks though. Been there today myself. Might get there tomorrow too.

But you must agree that in many cases the customer IS right, especially when service is horrible. I was a waitress for a while, and I can fully admit when I make a mistake. Of course, that doesn't give someone the right to be a total crap head about it. I have had some horrible dining experiences, but I am only a regular in places that are damn near perfect. I'm very picky. I don't gripe at them, I just never come back.

Sonic's Tots are great, don't care for the rest of the food though, love the drink selection

I used to love going to The Rendevous in Memphis, TN. They would treat you like crap and get away with it because the food was so good. At least they used to. Times have changed and they may have changed, too. Waiter walks up and says "Hurry up man, order already, I gotta get you outta here to turn over this table." And you don't linger after you are done eating. No sir, no sittin and chattin there. Your 60 year old black male waiter is likely to just pick you up by the scruff of the neck and throw you out. And decor, there must have been 1/2 inch of dust on everything in the place, but it was "ambience".
I don't get over to Memphis much anymore. Maybe it is different now. But it sure was irreverent then. And I loved it.
No political correctness, just come eat some of this killer barbecue and ribs and get the hell out of here.

we eat lunch out every day of the week. them kinda places are our favorite. them little holes in the wall have the best food. and you're right the service is normally horrible, but you dont care bc the food is so good. and after you've become a "regular" its more like a friend and not a server

Nope, but Ruby Tuesday's in Bedford has some awsome burgers also. As far as service there is concerned just make sure you don't get the kid that looks like he is High as a kite. I might have to check out Keller's though.
No real bad stories from me but I always seem to end up with the brain-dead servers at the fast food joints I use to frequent (even if there is only one idiot in the entire company, they end up serving me). Example, I stopped at an un-named fast food place and asked for a cheeseburger and fries. The kid behind the counter asked "Do you want cheese on that?". Think about that one, it stumped me for a second, I walked outside and busted out laughing.

THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING IN THE WATER.

That rubi tuesday's is about 2 miles from me...I'll have to try it some day. The Keller's hamburger is on Northwest hwy @ Abrams I think, but is an old style drive in (original) curb service great place to go with the top down....

We used to go to that Ruby Tuesday's all the time. I don't think I've had anything on their menu that I didn't like. Plus, they have BUFFALO!!! /drool Damnit, now odhinn is going to have to take me there for dinner.

I can tell the difference between, good food and bad food 2-14 hours after I eat it. IF it was bad food the I'll be gettin some bubble guts.

Same. Its either Cherry or strawberry limeades or vanilla dr. pepper. Sometimes in the summer when its really hot I get the cherry limeade slush. I would take a bath in that stuff. lol
