Sounds like a dealer scam

My buddy just bought a new Subaru,WRX.The dealer tried to talk him into a package.if he paid for this package this would allow him to do all his own maint and not void his warranty. If accurate records & receipts are kept I dont see a warrranty issue .What a load of crap.

Get it in writing and then have it carefully reviewed.

Otherwise, it is meaningless.

So the dealer want's him to pay a lump sum of money for the right to do his own oil changes? Hahaha, that's classic. I'd take a pass on the dealer altogether. Sounds like extortion.

"So, you buyz the car from us and....for the right price... Frankie here will let youz even take it to Jiffy Lube for an oil change. For a few clams more, youz can even wash it yourself....Aint that right Frankie?"

Edit: By the way, I'm from NY originally, so if my stupid attempt to sound like a Wiseguy offends anyone please don't take it personally.
