Sporting clays anyone?

Does anyone here shoot sporting clays, trap, skeet?

Several years back we would shoot about every other weekend, but I had to quit for a medical issue. I was asked to particapte (donate money) in a charity shooting event on this Saturday so I thought a little pratice would be a good thing. Back in the day both of us hit around 22 out of 25 just about every round so surly I would hit enough not to make a total fool of myself...WRONG! I was thinking that I would be a little "rusty", but I sure didn't expect to shoot THAT BAD!!! Hope it comes back soon!

Practicing last week reminded me of how much I really enjoyed the sport! Just wondering if anyone else here likes the shooting sports.

Only bows. I have a couple of old recurves, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't count

naw, I was just butting in

though.... I do shoot a bow very well and I also spend a lot of time with my hands in clay..... hmmmmm. Nope. Even though all the elements are there, I can't interconnect them. Put your hat back on.

I just joined a league this year. I had never done it before. When I was a kid I used to work in the trap houses seting birds, but I never got into it. I really enjoyed shooting this year. Since I lost my right eye a few years back I now have to shoot left handed. Shooting trap really helped me to get comfortable using the wrong hand. The last night of the league I finally shot a 25 with a total two round score of 47. Every week I would hit a couple more birds.

Well I never thought of shooting as physical theorpy...that is pretty cool! I have played sports since chilhood including picking up golf a few years ago, but nothing gives me quite the same enjoyment.

I used to shoot alot when I was in a league. Since then my aim has gone south. To make matters worse we just lost our local trap and skeet range to a new housing development.
