Spring (give me a) Break!

OMG!!!

Well, tiny's son Mike is off for two weeks for Spring Break.

I finally found the missing link to my homicidal tendencies. Yup, for years I was close but just not close enough. Today, I realized exactly what was missing.

That's right, during my Manchurian Candidate training they applied all sorts of subliminal training... Civilian idiocy, little grinding issues, nails on the chalkboard, endless media fear mongering...etc.

But today all these things came together along with the one thing my subconscious had forgotten. TeenNick.

That's right, iCarly and Ned's Declassified has carried me away to a path of enlightened murderous nirvana the likes have which have not been seen since the old Punisher comic book when his Vietnam buddies stood in awe behind him after he destroyed all those VC by hand.

Please Spring Break. GO AWAY!!!!

Sometimes, as a grown man with no kids, I watch some of this stuff, just to see what everyone's talking about. Spongebob? 15 minutes. I understand it. Lady Gaga? 10 minute video, but sure dont' understand it. Jonas brothers? About a minute was enough. The Monkees were way better.

I've seen iCarly. Watched for about 30 seconds. Never heard of this other program.

But I feel your pain. And I'll be thinking of you when I do all those wild and crazy things us childless couples do with all our expendable income and extra time. Tonight, I think it's a documentary on Tv.

Ccain, I'm right there with you. I have a 12 year old and a 9 year old who just went back to school after their spring break. Shows like icarly and it's ilk are not allowed in this house, on pain of Momma putting the remote through the TV. Penguins of Madagascar are actually entertaining though. I'll watch that even if my kids aren't home.

Uh-huh. I live with a teenager 24-7. Did I mention that she is an unemployed teen who has decided to take a year before attending college? So suck it up and put a TV in his room or madness will overtake you. I'm living proof.

The real question here is...

...is she single?

Btw...I took a quarter off college after my first quarter. That was in 2004. I have yet to go back. I did end up trying out 2 other schools though...1 being an online school which cost me around $5,000 before I dropped out, once again after the first quarter. The other one cost me over $10,000...I got my HVAC&R certification...aaaannnd....I have yet to take advantage of it. lol

The main advertiser for Spongebob should be Tylenol. That show gives me a headache.

No wimp.....Married.....Just smart enough not to have any kids! That's why I enjoyed Scouting so much. Borrowed everyone else's kids one night a week and one weekend a month. Jack their butt's all up and send them home to their parents. While I returned to the tranquility of my quiet adult home and a labrador that never said she hated me.

Cain you got it easy ,Take a walk in my shoes Lets start with the 16 year old who has to get up at 4:30 in the am to catch the bus at 6:00 and listens to Mtv super loud so she can hear it from all her pimping stations. Then when she gets home she watches my least favorite show 16 and pregnant. Some body please beat those children.

Then comes Girl #2 12 years hasnt stopped crying since she popped out.Icarly and some stupid high school show that I think theres only 3 of because it seeme like the same ones always on and when you turn them she cries.

And Girl # 3 5 years old Sponge bob, Dora, and the wierdest is YO Gabba Gabba thats a bunch of crack heads dressed like sex toys. They sing songs like Dont bite your friends and get your sillies out.Needless to say I dont watch much tv.

Making the most of their Spring Break they were all in their PJs when I got home from work.

Two weeks for spring break? That's brutal. The kids around here lost some of theirs to snow days. Guess that isn't going to happen out there.

I don't envy you, I had four and now my youngest is 31, oldest 44, but

I really feel you're job is a lot tougher, than mine was -

My first 2 boys were just growing up, during Vietnam and the Navy KEPT me away a lot

My last two, boy/girl, were during my Goodyear tire years--now,your daily life is much different (tougher) than mine was

Thats why I said my spring break (now) starts at New Yrs day thru xmas

YOU NEED THE SPRING BREAK !!!

Spring Break is just a little piece of Darwinism. Every year a number of liquored-up, coked-up frat rats end up falling off balconies all over the US. (And in Italy, it would seem.) Enjoy your YOUNG Spring Breakers while you can.

HAHA! Yo Gabba Gabba is definitely effed up! I have been trying to put my finger on it and you finally put it to words for me! It's not allowed on TV here. Spring break was only a day long here because of all the snow days . I put a TV in the play room for the kids for when I actually want to watch something. Don't watch much TV anyway and I can tune out the bs pretty easily.

Kids. You can't kill them.

Well, you can, but have a great alibi at the ready.

What I like about being my age is that I don't have to do that crap anymore. Plus, I taught my kids to use a chainsaw at a young age so only had to put up with the two stroke noise for 2 weeks in the spring.

Doesn't really matter how old they are, when you have kids you never stop worrying & never stop being a parent. How come I was not told this before the fact?
