Because thats not condusive to sparking conversation between folks that may want to wheel together... If I wanted to compile a list I would simply run some queries against our membership db, but thats not the point.

The funny thing about the Mississippi state flag is that it was never officially adopted by the state legilature. Somehow that never did happen. The Federal Govt, particularly the courts, don't recognize it as being a legal flag for the state. It is traditionally the state flag though.

I know that one day it will be changed because there are so many that attack it. ie, ACLU, NAACP, etc. It will be a shame to loose it when it does finally happen. Most people in my state, black and white, are not offended by the flag. It's the ones that stick their nose in that causes the problems. Jesse Jackson is from Mississippi, but we don't claim him. I recently heard Charles Evers speak and he defends the flag. It's not so much about race as it is this political correctness thing gone wild.

When I was in rhe Air Force, I was forbidden to display the Mississippi flag in my dorm room. It was just the thing we were doing when I was in. We displayed our respective state flags. If you were in, you know what I mean.

I know a bit about history myself. I'm a plethera of knowledge, most of it useless.
