Here in good ole Charleston, just a couple flakes falling and they panic.
Last week or the week before it was -9 with windchill, maybe that's what she meant? I work outside all day, it wasn't cold today.
Hanagan isn't exaggerating. Having the farm and the house in WV, I said the same thing this morning. Litterally almost every county had closed schools, from the beach to the mountains. Everyone at work calling in sick, the snow plows were dumping so much salt from 12am last night until right now, that no snow has actually touched the road. It is all just wet roads like it rained, with about an inch in the grass. They called for 3-4 inches, but it doesn't look like we are getting it. We are supposed to get a bunch of ice tonight though, so I guess it will be a "nation emergency" and they will close everything tomorrow. Heck, at 6:30 am when I got up this morning, it hadn't even started snowing yet, and they ALREADY had schools closed. This state is retarded when it comes to weather. Last week it was supposed to snow 2 inches, so they put down so much salt that the water was WHITE, and stained my Jeep like it was paint.
