State of Maryland and Snow

Apparently these two things do not mix. I woke up this morning to a massive amount of MAYBE 1" of snow, and everything is CLOSED. This is my first "winter" in Maryland, so I am completely amazed at the reaction to a little weather. From the listing of stuff closed on the news, you would think we had 6' of snow and we lived in Florida. Absolutely nuts, just thought I would share.

My daughter is at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, had to go out to the field for her last week of training. Called when she got back and said it was cold as hell. I guess cold in hell would be hell for the devil Here in good ole Charleston, just a couple flakes falling and they panic.

Enjoy your snow. We may get up to 1 1/2 inches of ICE today. I'd take a foot of snow anyday over this mess.

I would love a foot of snow, but they are saying 3-4 inches. Tonight it is supposed to be freezing rain, so I am guessing the entire state will shut down and they will have to call in the National Guard. LMAO

Last week or the week before it was -9 with windchill, maybe that's what she meant? I work outside all day, it wasn't cold today.

Hanagan isn't exaggerating. Having the farm and the house in WV, I said the same thing this morning. Litterally almost every county had closed schools, from the beach to the mountains. Everyone at work calling in sick, the snow plows were dumping so much salt from 12am last night until right now, that no snow has actually touched the road. It is all just wet roads like it rained, with about an inch in the grass. They called for 3-4 inches, but it doesn't look like we are getting it. We are supposed to get a bunch of ice tonight though, so I guess it will be a "nation emergency" and they will close everything tomorrow. Heck, at 6:30 am when I got up this morning, it hadn't even started snowing yet, and they ALREADY had schools closed. This state is retarded when it comes to weather. Last week it was supposed to snow 2 inches, so they put down so much salt that the water was WHITE, and stained my Jeep like it was paint.

I thought it was pretty funny when I woke up and turned on the news this morning that all the school was closed here in central MO. But we do have 1'' of sold ice and it keeps snowing. Just suppose to be 3-6 inches but we'll see.

I don't have a problem driving in it. I think it's kinda fun.
