Storm front

We were coming back from Galveston a few months ago and ran right into a pair of fronts. So on the way home we did some chasing. I have created a monster in the misses now she want to head out everytime it storms. Just a few shots that I found in my pics. I know theres more but I don't handle the photo department in our house.

this one didn't fully develop and the pic was snapped as it was dispersing

can't tell by the photo but this was a spin formation (thats what I call it)

full formation starting right above our car on the highway

Good pics. I love getting pics of weather activity. Here are a couple for you. Lightning in Little Elm, TX and a forming supercell southeast of Dallas.

Since Thursday, about 2pm, we have had severe weather. There was a little break just before the sun went down, Thursday eve. The air was highly charged, and felt very unstable. Just before it really got bad, this happened.

I heard it was getting pretty rough there in DFW. We have been in the Davis Mountains for a few day and have seen no Bad weather. Have seen a ton of wildlife and will try to post some of the pics.

I have not seen that much water, that quick, anywhere. Some areas got 10" of rain, within a 24hr. period.

I don't know, Blu, I might be worried about storms bringing giant poultry...... seems like when they all start crowding about there might be trouble.

Twister on the ground headed south from South Arlington per the weather radio. Chasing twisters at night is a bit to crazy for me. Be careful everyone down there, take cover and watch the sky.

Storms in Texas more pics. One of Huge hail.

Hope everyone made it through ok.

We got out with some hail damage on the Acura and one nice ping on the Jeep but the TJ came out of it better. would have gotten more and better pics, but we were on our way back from Applebees.

we were about 5 miles west of Hurst when it hit, was nice to see the soft top hold up, but I had my hands above mine and OC's head just in case.

75 mph wind gusts here . Looks like all that money I spent to get my roof fixed was wasted. It looks like about another 10% of it is somewhere in Odhinns backyard now.

I haven't even looked at our roof yet. This is the worst weather I have seen here since I have been in Texas. I wonder what's next.

I think after that hail storm, I am going to rig up some kind of a steel plate for above the driver and passenger for this time of year.

Besides the obvious bad things with this type of weather, the thing I love about Texas storm seasons in general is that we are in a unique position to witness some incredible action. When a front moves in from the ocean and collides with one from the north or west, krazy stuff happens. Unfortunately, sometimes that krazy stuff is hurricanes mixed with tornado's but you have to admit, mother nature knows how to put on a show.
