Stupid Toyota Space Shuttle Ad

You have all seen it: Man walks into a Toyota dealer and says he is looking for a truck to tow his heavy boat. Receptionist says: "The Tundra towed the Space Shuttle that weighs 200,000 lbs. How much does your boat weigh?"

I would have asked her: show me where the rated towing capacity of the Tundra is 200,000 lbs.......

How do they put this on air? I know there is a disclaimer in the ad somewhere but what is the point of the ad then? I could care less what the Tundra CAN do. What does Toyota guarantee the Tundra will do within the warranty is a lot more important.

Snap-On doesn't advise using their boxes as a parking area, but it is cool to know you could.

Btw, it was a stock tundra in 4Lo (tow package) and a 292,500lb load. They actually solved a problem for NASA.

Worlds strongest man competition , the man pulls a 70K lb Semi Tractor with a rope and sneekers on his feet to 30 meters...
So if man is good for 70,000 lbs on flat level pavement, that Toyota shouldn't have any trouble moving that space shuttle once it gets rolling...
Well....Thats the way I look at it.... I don't work for NASA.... "BH"
