Taking hardtop off is a 1 man job

LOL MI mud jam/trucks gone wild is this weekend. decided im going topless and neighbor wasnt home and i was feeling ancy. here is the how to if you ever REALLY want it off when your by your self.

1. Grab 2-3 2x4s or what ever you have laying around i used to wooden pallets.

2. WEDGE them on the rear bumper

3, one side at a time go nice and easy watching the other side to make sure it stays on the tub (almost slipped off for me)

4. Get the hardtop at the balancing point on the rear hatch

5. Stand behind the top and guide it down the 2x4s/pallets etc.

6. At that point i just basically wiggled it off of the boards.

Please be careful if you attempt this im sure it could go wrong easily if your not paying full attention every movement you make to the top as your sliding it off

YES I have done my self the hard way and just about broke my back that hurt lol

I've done it that way many times.. Works like a charm. I used 2x6's, and a come-a-long attached to the top and the other end around a tree to pull it back on..VERY SLOWLY...but works great!
