ten things that scare the hell outta me....

-The woman in front of me in the turning lane putting on eye liner. I wonder what exactly she does at 75 on the highway.

-The overpass between the 91 and the 15 going into LA. This is California folks. Ever heard of earthquakes. That thing is begging to drop.

-Dogs that can look me in the eye flat footed. That's a horse, not a dog. Though a cat that could look me in the eye without standing on something would be scarier.

-That teacher who doesn't want to stifle or frustrate my child by asking him to turn in his homework. These are the people forming our future society. Um.... you can actually give him a good smack on the back of the head if he doesn't have it, I'm ok with that.

-The kid who stood in line in front of me who's pants dropped all the way to his ankles. His response was a very slow daaaaaaamn and pulling them back up to just below his butt. His lightening fast reflexes will someday be landing planes. Duck and cover.

-That small door at the end of the hall in my childhood house. I'm sure there were monsters in there to this day. What's the purpose of an odd shaped or sized door? It's plays havoc with over active imaginations.

-Empty cages at the zoo. Did they get out? Is someone eating the animals? What the hell is going on? Where are the animals???

-The woman with the gigantic truck that can't see over the steering wheel. I'm sure one of these days I'm going to have a tire track up over my hood.

-Large groups of rabbits that scatter when my headlights hit them. I'm sure they're plotting something, probably with the squirrels, those little nutty bastards.

-Growing serious as I get older. Fate worse than death.

Talking

Bending over at my desk to pick up a piece of paper on the floor causing a pressure fart to rip while all the old ladies from my office ARE IN THE OFFICE! Scares the hell out of me.

I have run up on cougars in the wild but I would hate to run up on this cat anywhere.

I'm afraid of Mr. Peanut, too. Had a run in with him when I was five. He's freaking huge!!! Giant child smothering hands. Hate him.

My brother just sent me a couple of pics of a 210 pound cougar that was shot in Oregon. Did you say cat that could look you in the eyes ?

Ugh. Poor kitty got shot...meh. My boss' butt crack scares me. He's a big guy, and when he leans over the sink/table to do actual work (which is rare, but it does happen occasionally) his whole butt is showing. I mean, you can see the slope of the cheeks...it's HUGE! I tell him to pull up his pants, he tells me to stop checking him out. Ugh.

Those cottonmouths are nasty, I was fishing on the bank of a creek a few years back and one of those things came after me. I dropped everything I had and ran back to my truck to get my pistol.

Hmmmm...stuff that scares me....lemmie think.....

That, "I just spit on your burger", look that the guy in the drive thru gives me when he hands out my order.

The fact that the FDA allows ANY amount of rodent excrament in my canned goods...No kiddin' look into it.

The sticker on the handle of the toilet brush at a local convieniance store that read: "This brush is NO LONGER to be used to clean the coffee pots".

The CO of my Army unit when he says: TRUST ME! Wink!

The fact that Michael Waltrip cheats and still comes in dead last.

The following doesn't really scare me...But they have me wondering:

How do they get the deer to cross the road between the signs?

Why is there braille on drive-thru ATMS?

If Wal-Mart is open 24/7-365....Why do they have a lock on the front door?

If gluttony is one of the 7 deadly sins...Why does the church have and "All-you-can-eat" spaghetti dinner?
