Not from the 80's here but on the bmx thing. Do you guys remember the old SE pkripper? Go to se's website and check out the new pk ripper its a really nice bike. The bike shop I work at deals with se and I get to see all the goodies (If you havent noticed by now biking is kind of my thing). They still have the good old landing gear forks. I actually sold one to some guy who was 37 haha. He said it brought back good memories and he wanted it to go bmx racing with his 12 year old son.

Lita Ford was hot, but in fairness, she looks exactly like the guys in a lot of those bands.

From what I was told from my boss is that the pk ripper was the bike to have back in the day if you were racing. Freestyle guys hated it because it was to fragile for them but the racing guys couldnt get enough of it. The new ones are crazy. The one I sold had no paint on it. It was just polish aluminum and chrome. Really shiny. The new ones that are coming out have more of an old school look to them so I thought you 80's guys might like to check em out

I'm not so sure SNL was ever really that good. Back then there were only like three channels.

We got cable at our house around 1980 I think...

Freestyle bike guys, remember when the neck rotors came out so you could do all those cool handlebar spinning tricks? i had a pretty mean tailwhip and the bad knees to prove it from practicing, lmfao. stand on the front pegs and whip the rear end around, stepping over the frame when it came around....
my buddy alex and his dad built a 8' half pipe in his back yard (naturally he was one of the popular kids after that) for skateboards. i sucked at skateboarding, so i'd take my bike on it. i used to ANNIHILATE myself on a regular basis on that thing. his parents went out and got him a cool Hutch freestyle bike that he was always afraid to take on the ramp.
there was one kid larry who was a few years older than most of us (and a jerk) whose parents used to spoil the hell out of. he had a wicked mongoose freestyle bike, then he got dirtbikes. we used to have this spot we called the dirt hills that were behind our neighborhood. it was more or less a bmx track, but probably only about a 1/3 of an acre big. they were surrounded by marshy stuff, so it was also a great spot for catching tadpoles. the dirt hills were right by larry's house, so he'd take his dirtbike out and chew them all up. we hated that guy. he lived right across the street from my best friend jon and jon, who is about 4.5 years older than me, used to keep him in his place if he tried picking on any of us. alas, they knocked the dirt hills down to build more houses. i remember that summer well, it sucked bad for all of us.

i still thank god i grew up in the country.

IMO "camel toe" will never go out of style.

Ice Ice Baby was not the 80s but close enough I guess. I ripped it on karaoke night at a bar a couple weeks back.

My best memories of the 80s are the early 80s and the music that takes me back to being a kid. Men At Work, Toto, Prince, Michael Jackson,The Human League, Culture Club (I admit it), Joan Jett, Phil Collins, Lionel Richie etc.
80s country was great then too, Alabama, Juice Newton, Hank Jr, Conway Twitty. etc.
My first concert was Alabama in a field in 81 in Palatka, Fl. Saw my first set of boobs there too
