(Thats a song sung by Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood from "Paint your wagon")
I was headed into Georgetown, TX yesterday to wash my Wrangler. Along the way I passed a road that I had eye-balled mischeviously several times in the past with that often-dangerous: Hmmmm... (which usually foreshadows trouble.)
Well, since I hadnt bathed the buggy yet, and felt I had some surplus sand in the hour-glass....I paused....and turned....
So I took my JKU "wheeling" for the first time. I'm reluctant to call it true wheeling cuz everything was dry. I never had to engage 4wd and never spun a tire. Just crept along some paths that I admit most vehicles whouldnt make due to low clearance or long(er) wheelbases.
So, yeah, it wasnt as impressive as what I see yall posting. But it was fun. There is more to explore in there, and I'll get to it eventually. But I was alone and no body knew where I had turned-off. So I thought it prudent to poke around cautiosly and return when I have someone along to hold the camera (witnesses).
I see how this could get addictive...and expensive...easily.
I dont think there were any "No Tresspassing signs" posted. Althought I did see a few signs hung on the fence that were of the right size and shape and probably the logical location for such admonishins. BUt I was looking at them from the back. So I think they said "Welcome"
Thats my story and Im sticking to it.
