At work today, I merely pointed out that NASCAR's golden boy equaled the Daytona 500 win totals of Michael Waltrip & Sterling Marlin and you would have thought that I had committed some crime by NOT saying Jr. is the greatest driver in NASCAR today! His greatness is ONLY surpassed by his late father's. GEESH!!! Don't get me wrong, I AM NOT a Jr. hater. I do however put things into perspective. Honestly, I'll admit that my favorite driver doesn't even rank in the top 10 all time statistically (except for cup championships with 3), but I digress. Jr-nation, let's look at his career shall we? (feel free to google these stats...they are correct & up to date) He has 20 wins, that ties him with Speedy Thompson, and puts him ahead of Greg Biffle Fonty Flock & Goeff Bodine, but behind Jack Smith. He has 13 poles, just ahead of Charlie Glotzbach & Greg Biffle, but behind Glen Wood & Dave Marcis. Based on his stats, his career is SLIGHTLY better than that of Greg Biffle. He also has the same number of championships as Danica Patrick & Jeff Gordon's brother (& Jeff Gordon doesn't have a brother).
