Good Morning Forum. Today's forecast, topless, doorless, with a 30% chance of rain.

Hey guys! Back to work after two days off. Now I can relax. Spent my days off working on the Jeep - sanded and painted my rocker guards for the forth time - and yard work. 15 bags of top soil - yay. Cleveland broke a record Thursday - 86*!! Topless and doorless until today cuz of good chance of rain overnight.

good weather is always nice. even better when its a nice productive day. woke up at 8, and by 9 my dad and i were waking up the rest of the neighborhood with a jackhammer
got the about 90% of the front steps/porch taken down.

JD- speaking of lexi and driving, did she ever drive out and get her hedgehog?

Your neighbors should have been up by 9 anyway.

you would be suprised. although the ones i dont like are normally the ones who sleep late. so i dont mind pissing them off.

when we broke through the top slab of the little porch, we found out that it was hallow and dug all the way down to the foundation of the basement. ended up being nice and handy, cause bout 2/3 of all the debris fits nicely in the hole. so we dont have to buy any filler material, and there will be less to haul away.
tomorrow or monday my dad and ill will finish taking down and cleaning up all the brick work(saving all the good bricks since they match the house, and can be used on the fire place). then we can start putting up the new porch weekend after next. should be fun

mhm. it will be nice to be able to use the front door again. the old steps were just falling apart, and after the last snow thaw, they just crumbled. looked more like a hill then steps.

however having caution tape wrapped around the front railings, and beware of dog signs on the back gate is a great way to get door to door solicitors to stay away.

no. wouldnt look good on our house. and we would never use it. there is gona be a little covered patio that will extend about 2 feet on each side of the door and stick out 5 feet from the wall. and if we can afford it, a metal roof just cause its cool. then the front supports are gona be cinderblocks covered with fake stone, so they wil look like little stone pillars.

mhm. i just gota make sure my dad does it right and not change around the steps like he did with the bathroom.
bathroom ended up ok. but i see everything wrong with it. and i still give him crap for doing it wrong. tile work is one of the few things where my skills are immensely better them his. tiling an entire house is a great way to learn how to do it right.

Not yet. There were none "in bloom" when she went to Tenn. Her Dad is planning a trip to IL next month and promising to get her one on the way back if she will go with him. It's the only way he can convince her to go see her Grandparents.

hedgehog and a potentially awkward family vacation. could be fun.
so what does it mean with them being "in bloom"? cause right now im picturing fields with plants that look kinda like lettuce, but when the time is just right, the heads of lettuce open up and little spiky balls of hedgehog pop out.

It was her way of saying that there were no babies available when she was in Tenn. There were quite a few breeders who were expecting litters(?) in the spring ergo they were not "in bloom".
