I don't really like it, but I like to eat. I also like my house and my Jeep and truck and etc etc ad nauseam.

Yeah, since we've been working 58 hrs a week for the last three weeks or so I haven't even tried to turn around for the weekend since there's no time to do it. So when I get off on Saturday morning I sleep all day and stay up all night on Saturday night. Nothing to do. But I have to go right back to work on Sunday night so why bother messing up my sleep? Ya know?

What types of things? I'm pretty handy, but I suffer from a severe lack of imagination. Probably why I like to read so much. Enjoying someone else's imagination.

I need to do some work on my shop first. I finished putting the celing in it this spring, but it needs some more lights, insulation in the attic as well. Regarding the welder, I have to rewire the service the sent out there. There is only a small piece of conduit buried between the garage (where the house service & breaker box is located)and the shop. All they supplied to the shop is a single 20 amp breaker. I have to totally re-do that mess. I think that'll be my winter project. 50 or 100 amp box in the shop supplied from the house. (both phases, if only for the 240V thats in it) I'll also need to take the paneling down off the walls and re-do the outlets. There aren't any in many places there needs to be one, and the ones that are there are on all different levels of the wall. It's kinda stupid the way they did it. Totally unlike the house and attached garage, which were very professionally done. I think the detached garage came later, and was built by someone else. I really wish it had a drain in it.

I really would love to have one of those, but I'll never buy one because they cost so much, and I already would have torn it off on a tree 3 or 4 times by now, I think. Some of the trails I've been on are very narrow. Wheel traps close to trees or off camber stuff close to trees would put the rack into the tree trunk. Not something I want to do with an $800 roof rack.

I'm thrilled to have one at my age. My dad had to wait a long time to have his. But it's exactly what he wanted. His does have drains in the floor, which spoiled the hell out of me in my late teens, washing my truck at least once a week in the winter, same as summer. H and my first place had a 1 car carport. My vehicle sat outside, and that was after I added on driveway so there was somewhere to put it. When we started talking about buying a new house I said "Garage or we don't buy it." and meant it. When we first saw the place we bought it wasn't even for sale. We just saw the house and liked it. H joked about knocking on the door and asking if they wanted to sell.... We put our place up and it hadn't sold yet, so one day we drive past the road that house was on and it was for sale. I can't believe everything worked out like it did for us to be able to first sell our place and then buy this one, but it did, and I have two garages.

yeah, haha. that was the only reason i saved it. back when i had the 4runner, i wanted to make a rack for it. i think i spent like a month looking at ones you could buy, ones people had made, etc, before i found that design some where. o have since tweaked and made my own version of that design, but that is only as a hard copy in my room.
