We considered that to save money - but with the dog it's easier to leave her in an RV than a tent if we want to go somewhere without her. Plus the wife's not big on getting up in the middle of the night and walking to the bathroom. For some reason most women aren't too hip to watering the nearest tree.

We're doing the State campground thing around Michigan and up to Mackinac and back down. Probably stay at five different parks. This will be our 4th RV vacation.

blah blah blah - hour 15 of a 16 hour shift.

All right people....We're getting a bit off topic here. Lets stay focused.......

So last night I figured out why my jeep borked down......4 times. I had a bad connector in my dash and a bad switch so I replaced both and it's good to go. I think I might need to beef up the wires and amperage on the connectors and switch cuz they were starting to turn brown.

Ohhh.....FTW!!!

I got 90 min left on my 10hr shift. Day 3 of 7. Then off for a week and repeat ad nauseum.

It's all that humid air over there. I spent 9 days there @ Thanksgiving and very rarely saw the sun

There's a sun over here???? Huh. I think your mistaken. I'll talk to some of the locals to make sure but I don't think there is one here.

Actually the problems is too many accessories. I'm going to have to up the wire gauge/connectors and up the amperage on the switches or start using relays. I'm starting to plan out a total dash rewire using automatic reset circuit breakers and loosing the fuse box.

Ya well, I dunno. He wanted it but didn't have the money at the time cuz of that tranny issue and I just didn't feel like haggling over the money. Besides I upgraded to a Tom Woods anyways.

You've seen Tim's jeep? He and I played at Disney with just a budget boost.
Disney Ok trip
I've not been to Tuttle.

EDIT: Tim's jeep had the 4" lift on it and 33's when we made that trip.

Well 2" shackles will only get you about 1" of lift. But it should get you around and play most of the open areas and maybe up on a few small rocks but don't plan on hitting some of the popular trails.
Check out Mr Clifford's pics in this thread.
Trip to Disney,OK

Not with my jeep. I grenaded my D35 the Monday before the trip and I couldn't get the Ford 8.8 install done in time and swap gears in the D30. I did go and I did get to drive some but it was in Tim's jeep. I did have to make an edit a few posts ago. Tim and I had put the 4" lift on his jeep and it had 33's. I had forgotten when we installed that.
I didn't go to the places in the second link. That section was under water when we went. The dam was open on that side. I did go and took the pics in the first link I posted.
