I think it'd be funny to see someone try to drive in 4wd with different gearing

It's supposed to be nice here today. Just a little wind advisory and fire watch threat, but that's it. Otherwise Sunny.

Fire watch! We have flood warnings up here, could be bad. Warm temps mean snow melt, and it's suppose to rain all day and tonight. Big concern is the river ice breaking up and jamming, causing flooding. Oh well if it floods where my house is then the whole of central Maine is flooded.

We've had our rain days. The river is so deep and wide now that they have cut back generating power at the dam. Last year at this time we were in a water custody battle with Alabama and Florida, now we have too much. They are predicting more snow for next week.

This has been a crazy winter for us, started off as a bad winter then tapered off to an easy winter. It has been great for my heating bill.

Do you ever go to the NHRA drags?

Howdy Y'all!!!

It's snowing here again, and they're predicting another 12"-18". I just hope I don't lose any more tree branches.

To follow up on Vaultzz's post about 4WD with different diff ratios, what do you think would happen? I'm guessing that the weakest link is going to be the front differential. The gears would just get chewed up. But, I suppose the Tcase or a shaft could blow out. Anyone ever seen this?

I used to. I hate working them and I am not a very good spectator. Racing isn't fun to me unless I am a part of it. Hate the fences!!!

I bet it's not a very pretty sight. My money would be on the transfer case eating itself, front and rear shafts turning different speeds.

I know what you mean, it's not the same sitting in the stands after being involved in it. But I do like going to NHRA top fuel events.

Not all of us get to have one of the coolest jobs in the world.

I like the NHRA events too. The free access to the pits is a great way to get a close up view of the cars. The top fuel and alcohol cars are just insane anymore. The sound pressure when they run is so great it actually hurts my ears. I like the sportsman classes too though. Watching a car hook up and yank the front wheels at the launch is great.

Some of the SCCA events around here are pretty good too though, but the overabundance of the small cars buzzing around like angry bees isn't really my bag. It's great when some of the older hot rods show up.

It all depends on what side of the fence you are standing on.

We will be hosting the 25th Anniversary of the SRFs (spec wreckers) here in April. Should be a blast.

I kind of like the looks of the Mitty, seems like it might be laid back and relaxed.

Well that stinks! Wish I was closer, would be glad to help.

I bet with all this snow RC will be plenty muddy and wet when it melts.

This was a 3 day family vacation. Saw a lot of stuff.

- a bit of Dublin Castle
- Dublin Zoo
- St. Patrick's Cathedral
- Guinness Storehouse
- Christchurch Cathedral
- Dublina (Viking Museum)
- Ireland National Museum of Archaeology
- had dinner in a pub/Irish house party. Very very cool with traditional music and dancing.
- and a sh*t ton of shopping.
