It's the Pavlov's dog thing. It was a play on the Jeep thing, You wouldn't understand. So your brain read it the way you're used to hearing it.

Lets just say that there are certain things that you should not do with the pilot while they are flying the plane.

What if you are not fortunate enough to have autopilot? If you get distracted you could end up in an unusual attitude.

I can't see how less than ground altitude can ever be a good thing.

If you are in a plane.

Would be pretty cool. How bout you try to fly a plane underwater and come back here and tell us how it went?

actually it could work. just need an airtight plane that cam hold up to pressure, and a propulsion system that functions both above and under water

I think the propulsion system would work underwater. A cessna 337 would be perfect. Has Front/Rear engine with push/pull design. Watertight engines and cabin. there you go. Flight controls would probably work well as underwater controls. Same basic principle.

yes, but you would have to provide an oxygen source for the engine would you not?

Tie it to the oxygen system for the cabin that is already on the plane?

Why would you need to be underwater for a long time anyway? Secret hidden cave to get to your spy headquarters? Take all unneeded weight out (backseats, unnecessary fuel etc.) and add oxygen. Or develop a gill system??
