The Ultimate Tuner....

I am not one for tuner cars, I can't stand those crappy '92 civics with a muffler tip the size of my head but this is pretty interesting.

It goes 0-60 in 3.07 seconds, that's faster than a McLaren F1 and a Ferrari Enzo. Its also powered by a 1.8 turbocharged 4 cylinder...

So you might be asking yourself, "Well? What is it? It must be some crazy new Japanese car souped up by some racing team right?"

Wrong.

Its a Ford RS200 and it came out in 1984. It was a mid-engined, 4wd, coupe based on their Group B rally car. Straight from the factory with 450HP and 361 torque. Its too bad they only made it from 84 to 86.

It looks very ahead of its time I think.

Looks kind of like a pinto and a feiro breed.

Interesting vehicle though.

AKA Cosworth. There's a company in Canada that restores these. They are truly awesome cars.

Those are based on the escort, this is an entirely different vehicle. Same engine but everything else was different.
Those are cool though.

450HP is a lot for a 1.8L engine, its not surprising.
