I don't think they've run out of ideas. They're just following the graphic novel series, although they have made some changes for the tv show. The tv series isn't even halfway through the graphic novels yet. Maybe the writers of the graphic novel didn't know where to go with it, sort of like the Game of Thrones series of books. You get to the third and fourth novel and it's pages and pages of pointless dribble.

I think the kids have Judith, I really don't think she's killed off. Rick and Carl will go hide out for a bit and try to heal up Rick's wounds. Somehow or another the group will be back together, and I'm sure Daryl's on the move to find Carroll. I didn't see Herschel's death coming tho.

They've been killing off main characters since the beginning.

The imfdb page on the Season 4 guns is good fun. A lot of firearm gaffs on the Walking Dead (copied this from another forum so I don't take credit).

Walking Dead, The - Season 4 - Internet Movie Firearms Database - Guns in Movies, TV and Video Games

The worst part of the zombie apocalypse? Not being able to mail order sights for that KAC SR-15 that showed up in the mail right before the shtf:

I can't see where I'm aiming... ah well, somehow I got my hands on newly produced full-auto AR after the world fell apart. Just keep firing!

And I can't order a replacement rear sight for grandpa's 1893 either! Dang.

I don't need no stinking sights on my fancy UTS shotgun!

Seems like it would be hard to hit anything smaller than a barn door with this technique, but hey, his buddy just got his head cut off... I guess we can "cut" () him some slack.

Show is about survival and not everyone is going to survive. You not watching is a great idea. I think Dancing with the Stars is calling your name! Walking Dead rules, even though they can't get the gun tech right (but most shows don't anyway).

How about them using a late 60s/early 70s tank? I know they are still around but not what id expect from current military.

Gun tech wasn't that bad IMO. Sure no optics on anything is pretty dumb.... But if that's how they found them? Some good catches there though definitely interesting stuff! Thanks for sharing.

How hard is it to flip up a rear sight or turn around one that is backwards... the gun tech could have been much better on the show. Maybe they found rifles with no sights, but simply not popping up a rear sight when you actually want to hit something is silly. I guess there were rubber guns up to Season 2 by the way (I am reading). Of course, if you look close enough you'll find screw ups on most shows. It just seems that these would be easy fixes to someone who actually shot a rifle before. Again, took this off another forum:

"They mutilated me... and I was RIGHT EYE DOMINANT! Now these sights are totally useless:

"Ah, screw it! Just do it the Zombie Apocalypse way!"

Sights folded down:

Backwards LMT rear sight:

What do you expect, seems that most of them are British. Probably never held a gun before. Add that to Hollywood gun stupidity... It's everywhere on TV unfortunately. On Boardwalk Empire a couple weeks ago a guy pumped a side by side shotgun to reload, lol. With perfect sound effects of course. I'm always amazed how much noise movie guns make just moving, it's laughable.

I agree guys. Also most of these people on the show probably never shot a gun other than a few like Rick and Daryl. So them doing stupid stuff with sights might be sorta realistic if you consider that.

Yeah it's not realistic...but neither are zombies. You can pick a lot of shows/movies apart if you wanted to.

On Talking Dead they said a guy let them use his tank. I think they said it was a 1971.

Yes they did. I just thought I'd mention it since they were discussing guns. I thought it was cool.

That would make it an M60A3 Bradley tank.
It's about time some armor showed up in that show.

Best not to go to the thread after missing some of the episode... there may be spoilers. If you want to stream the episode:

Just rewatched mid season finale, sure was weird seeing rick shoot the gov in the arm when typically he hits walkers in the head. I mean, hes had couple years of practice, lol.

The governor was bound to show back up. He was never shot or bit, and his blood thirsty ways couldn't let them alone at the prison. He sure was a good manipulator tho, think he was in office somewhere b4 apocalypse hit !

Got no doubt about tyrese having judith. Those lil girls stashed her with the other kids temporarily and ran back for them after taking care of business. Carol woulda been proud !

Yes it was in movieland, but in a real world? There would be a very pissed off tanker chasing you with a very low capacity armored vehicle .

I'll take your word for it as I know nothing about tanks. WD has consistently shown that their tech is suspect. The majority of the public doesn't know these things anyway.

Never take a soldier to a war movie. You will never hear the dialogue over their complaining of what is wrong.

Some exceptions exist, Renasiassne man.

Probably an M60A1 Patton. The Bradley is an IFV as in the M2/M3 Bradley.

Here's the groups I picked up...

1) Michonne alone
2) Rick & Carl
3) Glenn and the bus full of kids and Woodbury people
4) Maggie, Bob (the medic) and Sasha
5) Tyreese and Carol's 2 girls (also possibly the other 2 kids and maybe Judith)
6) Darryl and Beth
