The wife finally did it

Finally got the wife to Drive the Jeep today.. Top down, doors off and me in the passenger seat.. She did great, only stalled a couple times on an incline at a stop sign.. She has limited experience with a manual transmission..

I'm doing the same thing, currently teaching the lady friend to drive stick in my TJ. She's catching on pretty quick, and she is going to be in the market for a new vehicle soon...

Nice, I've had some great times teaching lady folk how to drive a manual. Almost said stick there but it just sounded all wrong. Was your friend all nervous and giggly when you first started?? It's so funny and fun.

You realize that the new ones have some kind of "Hill start for Dummies" device on them. That might be all that saves your Jeep from her.

Back on topic... yes she was, had some jerky starts and stalls, but it's getting better. After a week of straight driving, I told her she'd stop even thinking about it. That's how I learned, just gotta keep doing it. And mine's an 04, so no hill assist or whatever that is, how does that even work?
