The world's toughest cell phone

I just bought one i'm waiting on it to come in the mail, apparently it's the world's toughest cell phone, nothing special about it but it's good for people like me who are hard one phones I have had to replace 2 cell phones this year because of water from kayaking, this phone is waterproof, but its as basic as it gets it has a turn by turn GPS, flashlight, and camera, and thats pretty much it, the one I got was the sonim xp3 quest here is the link check them out!

Sonim Technologies: VoIP, IMS based global software product company

I had the Casio Boulder with Verizon which is a "military spec" for almost a year now...i've submerged it, dropped it about a billion times, and played in the dirt with it...Toughest damn phone I've ever had. Still works great. Blackberry's wouldn't last me a minute, but seems like someone actually put some thought into these rugged ones.

my motorola slvr held up pretty well. it fell off a couple different houses, went swimming in a mixture of rivers, creeks and an ocean. drove over it with the tractor once, pretty much beat the crap out of it, and it always worked fine. i only stopped using it after 5 years cuase the battery was only holding a charge for bout 24 hours, and a new phone was cheaper than a new battery. i still have it though just in case

Over the years I've ran two over at work with the Big Cat front end loader when they fell off my belt. They should let me test them.

best buy carries them for $400. part of the reason they are so expensive is because they dont come with a plan. if you look at the cost of alot of the nicer cell phones, they are insanely expensive if you buy just the phone

I broke two Boulders and gave up on them. The first, the charger port came out; Verizon replaced it free of charge. Second, the interior LCD shattered; they wouldn't replace the phone. After breaking two indestructible but feature-limited phones, I gave up and went back to destructible but better phones.

Even one-weekend-a-month infantry stuff is hard on phones, but I can't recommend the Boulder. Your mileage may vary.
