How long is the academy for either one? And how often do anyone of them really save lives? I know several nurses that save lives everyday! And Rn's goto school for minimum of 4 years! No academy last a couple weeks or months.. So ya i believe what im saying is exactly the truth!

I think every public servant is important. EMS, firefighters, any first responder really, is as essential as hospital personnel. They have to do very quick assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and transport in the field with few resources. I know I sure as hell can't carry a 400 lb lady down the stairs in a burning building. We can't care for the patient without them!

True but my point is you can go through life and never need a firefighter or a cop! But you cant a nurse!

A wonderful nurse delivered my baby when the doctor was late. I demanded her name as the person who delivered her. My request was denied. That's bullshit. She may not have been a doctor, but she stepped up to the plate when no one else would.

Nurses are awesome.

It can be, especially the restricter plate races like Daytona, Talladega. Sometime ya have to get up and go do something and then check in on it from time to time. Play on your phone, etc.

Used car shopping! My son and DIL got their tax refund and wanted to pay cash for a decent minivan/SUV. They had about $6k to spend. You would not believe the absolute garbage some people (and dealerships) try to pass off as "excellent condition", "runs great", etc. And I thought vehicles in the $6k range would be much newer with lower mileage than what I found available. Ended up with a '04 Merc Monterey with 102k on the clock, but at least it was actually clean and even ran good, at $6,651 out the door. It even came with a 30 day warranty (woop-de-doo).
