thinking about building up a toyota

I got this toyota I got for 1,500 a 1984 toyota pick up I may wanna put a inline 6 or a 350 build it in to a rock crawler what u guys think

I love those trucks. Huge with rebel forces in 3rd world countries. Top Gear blew one up and it still started. Post some pics.

I had 5 of them before my jeep.all built..loved them..only negative would be the power output of the 4cyl but it sounds like your on top of that already.it looks like a sweet little truck from the picture.i miss my toys now..boo boo..

I loved my Toyota and every Toyota Ive ever worked on. Keep it, dont use it for a wheeler, looks like a great D.D. Jeeps are much more fun to wheel, thats why I got mine. I will never build a Toyota to wheel again.

I have a Toyota too and I love it because I don't have to drive it … except when I need to haul stuff. I prefer Chevy and Ford trucks but it's a long story. Can't image why anyone would want to build an '84 Hilux so I'm here to learn. Maybe it'll convince me to buy and build a '78 Pacer which is distant cousin of a Jeep.
