I was going to type a long response, but it is quite simply not worth it. I hate to say it, but I have been for a long time. We are at the point where America is either going to quietly go away and be transformed into the thing we fought against, or the American people are going to stand up and take back what was once theirs. Our government no longer ignores the constitution, they have peed on it, defecated on it, burned it, and buried it in China. Removing the term limit per president effectively turns this country into a tyrant government. A king/queen with absolute power if you will. Our leaders have long been above the law, now you are allowing them to stay in office as long as they want?! The right to vote doesn't matter in this discussion either. More Americans couldn't care less about government, than those that care. Otherwise, we wouldn't have career politicians that never get voted out of Baltimore, no matter what they do.

Blah, I am done. I REALLY want to just freak out and type a book, but I digress. You all have fun with this one.

The TRUE reason the founding fathers felt the 2nd amen was needed was to keep tyrants in check. A health fear of revolution by the masses.

Yup, the 2nd amendment was put in place to protect the rest of our rights. Once they take the 2nd away from us, can you imagine what a president could do to us if there were no term limits? That's the bill in the House right now, to repeal the term limits.

Relax, this is not anything new..... They started talking about it in 1986 and finally introduced it in 2005:

Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the 22nd amendment to the Constitution. (Introduced in House)

HJ 24 IH

109th CONGRESS

1st Session

H. J. RES. 24
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the 22nd amendment to the Constitution.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

February 17, 2005
Mr. HOYER (for himself, Mr. BERMAN, Mr. SENSENBRENNER, Mr. SABO, and Mr. PALLONE) introduced the following joint resolution; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

JOINT RESOLUTION
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the 22nd amendment to the Constitution.
