This scares me as newb!

Watching this video I definately want to practice on the bunny hill before I head to the Rubicon trail.

Best thing i can tell you is go wheeling with some guys that have a alot of experience so that you can get a good feel for how your machine works. And if everyone is doing some crazy obstacle that you dont feel comfortable doing Just get out and watch and maybe find out what they are running and build up to it later. I know when i bought my first jeep a YJ i trying to go wheeling with some guys that did it alot and knew all the trails. But i got myself in a few spots where i slid backwards down some steep hills i shouldnt of been on. I could of wrecked by jeep easy or rolled over. I tryed the crazy stuff to early. build up slow and gain confidence and knowledge of your jeep and you will be fine dont be an eager fool like me.

just know your limits and trust your gut. you won't have a problem. unless I had a dedicated trail rig I wouldn't attempt anything that could result in a possible rollover.

If you watch that video closely, a lot of those rollovers could have been avoided with common sense. Some of those drivers picked OBVIOUSLY bad lines, while others thought the best way up/over an obstacle was by stomping on the skinny pedal or overusing the brakes. Drive your rig like you care about seeing tomorrow and you'll be alright. Use common sense. Listen to your brain instead of your buddy, and drive responsbily and you'll enjoy years of offroading without incidence.

That being said, sometimes $h!t happens and you flop your rig. I rolled my first Jeep. Driver's error. (me) Learn from it and move on. Adapt and overcome.

The video is misleading. Bunch of nuckleheads thinking they are cool. Funny how they seem to come away unharmed.

It is important to know your limits as RSC17 said & don't do anything unless you feel confident. If you attemp something thats to great for you & panic it could be not so much fun. Also don't let anyone push you just go along at your own pace

(1) thats why Jeeps have roll bars (2) never do things like that alone (3) never try to outsmart your common sense (4) never in any vehicle, try to do what it is not capable of doing ie: jeeps are nose heave and don't jump very good.
Any NEVER try to do what I did and drive through 4 foot deep mud with a 3 foot Jeep

That kind of stuff is done by idiots and you won't see anything like any of that on the Rubicon. What you see on that video is not the usual stuff done when offroading. Relax, watching that video would be like watching an aerobatic stunt plane doing crazy rolls, stalls, spins, etc. and thinking that's what happens when flying American Airlines from LA to Dallas.

So basically what your saying is the real Jeepers who care about one another and their Jeeps and have brains in their heads don;t do stuff like that Makes sense to me, since theres no way I'm taking my Jeep through a 2 foot wide path, and rolling it over just to get a 15- 30 sec video that may or may not go viral, depending on how stupid I look
