Welcome to the world of "location awareness". Google ads are regionally specific.... They target the marketplace that the customer requests. The yes on 8 people spent a lot of money on these ads.

Quote:
Meanwhile, Google has allowed the “Yes on 8” campaign to disseminate its message—after the group dumped huge amounts of money into Google ads that appear on various websites. To make matters worse, these ads have appeared on progressive blogs and websites without the owners’ knowledge—making them unwilling accomplices in passing Prop 8.
That’s the thing with these blogers and forum owners who sign on with Google.... they have no real control of content except to block certain ones as they become aware of them. And if they do block ads, they lose money. Remember the "shocker" sticker ads we had on here a while back? Same thing with the prop 8 adds. Business is business, Google pays the forum owners to run their ads...

I have had 11 phone calls from politicos since 1030 am. Plus the local republican group wanting me to hand out ads at the polls. I voted last week and really am getting tired of the "taped messages".

I was thinking proposition 1a, or it might be 7 or it might even be 10, the one where Pelosi has something like 200,000 shares in the LPG company that stands to make a killing if it's passed and she's backing it. Prop 12 makes no sense to me as they already have that loan guaranteed from the VA, I've used it twice myself.

My answering machine was full when I got home. I thought I was on the do not call list.

I'm soooo sick of the political crap. I don't think the news channels will know what to do with themselves in a week. They're probably praying for hanging chads so they'll have something to talk about. Heaven knows if Obama becomes the pres they can't say anything negative about him. Maybe CNN will become a reality TV network.

Nothing will show how committed a company is to their "values" like the almighty dollar. What price do you have on your soul?

I don't think the annual revenue of Dubai could afford it.

And for some reason, the ad's think I need to see a mechanic.

i currently have no ad at the top of my screen. it is just a white rectangle. how refreshing it is to not be bombarded with "buy this", "vote that", "promote this".
