Tiny Tikis

No, it's not tiny's new nickname...

tiny did however introduce me to clay sculpture and I've been making tiki's all morning. These have a hole drilled in them and once they are fired they will be the lock handles for the Fairlane since I've decided to make a surf wagon out of it.

So without further ado.... Tiny Tiki's:

Here's a shot with the X-acto just so you can get an idea of the scale:

You're very talented.

That is really good cain. You did a whole lot better than when I tried to make something out of clay. Here are my monkeys I made during art class but they have nowhere near as much detail as yours.

They're really cool, cain. The grain detail in them is especially nice. Did you use anything special for it or just freehand the cuts in? They will be neat as lock handles.

He's using the set of dental tools I brought home. I've been slowly moving my clay studio to the house, next week I'll move the small kiln and some chemicals so he can finish them up.

that is really excellent work! Very impressive and cool making the split wood details. You should get a job at Disneyland to redesign their tiki room. But you'd have to make the Tiki's a little larger.

One a bit larger would make a cool jeep shift knob too....

eBay, Baby!!!!

Those are great, Chris. Fire up a bunch of 'em and sell them on eBay. I GUARANTEE people will buy them as lock knobs. I would, if I had a vehicle that required them. Or make some smaller ones as tire valve caps...........the options are endless.

Your attention to detail would have made you a great candidate for my old line of work........

There you go......you're now obligated to create lock knobs, shifter knobs, mugs, and the like. I'd love a shifter knob, but my Jeep is an auto, but I think a transfer case shifter knob would fit into the overall design of my Jeep quite well......

Now get to work!!
