Well she does more work on her Jeep than I do on mine so I guess I shouldn't give her sh!t about it.

Hahahahaha, no. I don't work as a mechanic. I'm about as ill equipped as it gets when it comes to knowledge about vehicles. But, it's all in books and I have a circle of people who know, so yes, I'm attempting to do my own work. I've spent a number of hours just looking at what everything is under the hood and reading the tech manual. I figure if I screw it up, it's a learning experience and it can be fixed. Quick discos and spacers are coming, so that should be loads of fun

I like your pot creations. If you could make me one with full widths and 42s I'd buy

Honestly, If I drank anything besides bottled water I'd have a couple

Thanks MrC. Funny how people like the kitschy stuff. Same with my western work. Put a horse on it, and it's gone. But my real work, the japansese teabowls and water jars, are only good for pretty pictures.

(what's full widths?)

Oh, you know, I should probably finish the story about my bolts.

I went back, little bag in hand, and said to the guy that I wasn't sure, but that the nut is supposed the be a touch tighter, and I let the nut drop to the head of the bolt.

It was a different guy and he laughed. He goes back and it turns out that they didn't even have the right sized nuts. Now, seems to me, when one orders bolts, they order enough nuts to top those bolts, cuz, I don't know, the bolts seem kinda pointless without nuts. Or maybe it's like hot dogs and hot dog buns. Hot dogs come in a pack of 10 and the buns in a pack of 8.... it's a conspiracy. You have to by the lowest common denominator which isn't one pack of each.....

Oh, bolts. I finally had to go to another place and just rebuy the bolts. The tow point is on and I have two nutless bolts.

I learned a new lesson this past week. When people tell you it's a twenty minute job, it's not going to be. They have removed and shaved off or forgotten or are too embarrassed to mention time that they spent doing the stupid stuff. Because removing 6 bolts should not take three hours. And yet, it did. That's a half hour a bolt. I'm on a roll.

Your earlier lesson was reinforces for me today, Tiny. I learned that the guys at the auto parts store don't always know more than me, even if I am "just a girl."

never trust those parts guys, I walked into one of those big name places and told them I need sparkplugs for a 68 dodge with a 440 engine he looked it up in the computer and he came back with 6 plugs (it's an 8 cyl) I laughed at him and left without the plugs.

Nope, not rusted. The nutserts have a tendency to spin out due to the blue loktitie on them. Heating the bolts with a torch can help but sometimes you just need to monkey with them.

Tiny, just don't make them nutless wonders. We need a few nuts, along with a few bolts.
