I like the 2 door, personally for the shorter turning base and better maneuvering in tight trails. I also just like the shorter look more. I6 is a great engine, and I have no issues. I do plan on owning a 4door rubi (or a 12+ if I like what I see) in the future so, obviously I have nothing against them

I'd buy a TJ if i had the money, however the same does not hold true regarding JKs.. I don't like what Jeep has done with the wrangler image with the JK.

lol at number 2, and @daggo, probably because he is trying to ask an honest question and doesnt know that its been asked a bigillion times and hes beating a dead horse.

either way, I like all wranglers, they each have their own special characteristics and advantages. thats pretty much it. no one will ever be "better" than another because its always in the eye of the beholder.

More than likely, yeah. Especially because of the phrasing of title and question. He didn't act like he was trying to get information on peoples thoughts and feelings like he was truly vested in interest. But I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

True but if it must be posted wether to entice or to actually ask it as a genuine question because he is new to the forum and unaware of the overkill on the subject, might as well be in the right section.. JMO

Because a topic like this can have a resonable discussion. To manny times have I seen manny discussions/threads locked pre-maturely or on the basist of what a mod/admin likes or dislikes. In the case of this topic as we have seen it can turn into a flame war but it can also be a reseaonable discussion and I just expect certain discussions to be locked before it gets there.. IMO no bennifical discussion such as the differences between two vehlicles and what people like about them should be shutdown before it de-rails.. Every discussion must be given a chance to succeed before needing to come to a end..

I like

Both civil conversations and heated debates with my popcorn.. It's a forum, there is room for both.. heated debates can go astray, we all know that but should not be interupted by a mod/admin or stoped until the line has been crossed..

Barrie, I could go on and on and even go into other problems I see but I won't.. Don't have time for a essay.. To manny good people here and great tech to hold the faults of the site over the bennifets..

The Bennifets of WF and the AWESOME People are what make it a great site. The faults of one part of WF's opperation can never out weigh it

Please leave.

FYI, its a forum that you read. You can't "hear" anything.

I can agree and disagree with you on this as we both have a different definition of heated debates and flame wars. On a topic such as this one which has been discussed numerous times, with not a whole lot to be learned from it, my threshold would be low for a flame war.

We may as well start discussing who waves and who doesn't while we're at it. That's where all roads lead when debating the models...

TJ:
Huge aftermarket and larger than JK, some have the option of the weak D35 rear axle on some models, has a proven 1-6 motor, 31's stock with no lift

JK:
New kid on the block, nicer creature comforts, some come with 32's stock and 35's can be reached with very little lift, needs an external tranny cooler when off roading (thing heats up bad), v-6 is a good motor (little less humph in the 4 doors), you have the option of a 4 door, penstar v-6 is suppose to be out in 12 models

That's it in a nut shell.

Let me just add that the 4.0 has lower torque then the JK while the JK runs a higher hp at a high RPM.. Both the JK and TJ have there benifets. Can't go wrong with either or IMO.. In the end I myself am a huge supporter of the LJ.. Wish I had one.. I6, Longer wheel base then the TJ, but not as non traditional looking as the JKU witch has a line of it's own benifets especially for family wheeling..

something else to add, towing. The TJ and JK have a towing limit of 2k while the LJ and JKU have a towing limit of 3500..
