The worst part is at the end of the article it says charges are pending. Isn't it enough to look like an idiot, get a story in the paper, and lose your jeep in a river? Do they really have to file charges as well? I think that's punishment enough.

Yea, because now the fire department has wasted money + resources helping these two absolute dumb asses pull themselves and their Jeep out of the water.

I think that whenever you cost a county/city/state rescue money due to an unnecessary stunt (like this one), especially if you don't pay taxes in that place (say you're visiting, or doing this crap on vacation) you should be held liable for the taxpayer dollars that were spent bailing your butt out..
