Tj window channel

I have a soft top with full doors. My top seems to have allot of air coming in between the top and window. There is no channel on it which is best to correct this?

Which windows are you having issues with? What kind of top do you have, Supertop or a factory top?

It seems like you may be missing a seal or maybe even a door surround. Let me know what top you have and which window is giving you trouble, and I can help you out!

Bigdoogle,

If you haven't got the problem straightened out yet, could you please post some pictures. From the looks of the top in your avatar, it looks like you have a factory top. Bestop actually makes the tops for the factory, so you can have a factory top and it will still say Bestop on it.

There isn't a header channel on the factory tops, the top itself screws into the frame of the top. The Supertop needs a channel, but you can't use the top without it, so I doubt you have that one.

If you can get me those pictures, I'll be happy to help you out!

Nevermind. It appears that you are missing the gasket/seal that goes across the top of your windshield.

I'm pretty sure that you could make an adequate seal with a strip of vhb backed foam. It's basically weatherstripping with adhesive on one side. It won't seal as tightly as factory spec, but with a dense foam it should bring it down to bearable levels.

The channel won't work for what you need. That top is a factory top, and the channels are for the Supertop.

I would go to your local auto parts store and get some foam and 3M Tape. Then just cut it to fit and use the 3M Tape to secure the foam to the top. Then you should be good to go.

Please feel free to PM me with any questions. I'll be happy to help!
