| To Chrome...or Not to Chrome
So I was reading through another forum about "Anything and Everything a Jeeper should know" and one person made the comment, "eliminate all chrome" and another person said that a poll should be taken on that statement. Lets hear it...are you a chrome, or no chrome jeeper?
I vote...No Chrome

Most don't like it but it really does not matter. I prefer black powder coated but it doesn't give me any more Horse Power. If the person likes chrome over black coated more power to them. It all looks the same when it's covered in mud!

i dont think chrome looks good on a jeep. I think chrome is nice looking on older classic cars and some motorcycles.
IMO it has no place on a jeep/truck.

as long as you can take it on some gnarly trails and make it out okay... chrome would look pretty sweet! I thought about buying a can of spray on chrome to paint my wheels... just for fun maybe some chrome spoked spinners on one side and gold spinners on the other.

Chrome is not a good look on a Jeep in my honest opinion & if mine didn't have the rims on it when I bought it I would have gone for something different |

Just my opinion, but Chrome on a Jeep is akin to lipstick on a pig..... it's just not right!

I like and have a little bit of both.
Either looks good in moderation, IMO.
To much of either I feel is overkill.
It's all about the individual.
At the end of the day all that matters is if you like it,
and the rest can suck a nut.
(Unless it's Levinoss's lipstick wearing pit bull)

I generally think that less chrome on a Jeep is better, but the 05 Unlimited that I bought for my son already had chrome wheels, bumpers and grille. It looks OK, but mainly I am not throwing any parts at it untill he demonstrates that he can drive it without knocking parts off of it, so the chrome stays for now. My 48 CJ2A has a little chrome on it from the factory, and it looks OK too.
