Ok, neither of us will ever be real Californians. But we're going to LA today, Cain's first trip into LA... Not sure if I should take the 91 just because everyone needs to experience that strip of asphalt hell.

Going to LA? I feel for you. I truely dispise the area. Too many people, too much noise etc. What part of the armpit of hell are you headed?

Oh, if you really want to see some of lifes better specimens, take the Metrolink out there. That is a show in its self. Maybe you will see your upstairs neighbors.

I quit carrying a weapon when I figured out that I could kill a man with my bare hands.

If you're hunting for another beach to hang out on, come on over to Hermosa/Redondo Beach!!

When we left from the campground on Sunday, we went up yhe 15 to the 91. It sucked. The 91 ends and turns into Artesia Drive (or Blvd, St, whatever) and Artesia leads straight to the PCH and my beach!!!! Come on over!!!

We'd love to but I promised Mouse I'd take him over to the Dark Horse comic store where they sell stikfas. It's in Citywalk. I'm dreading it, but we're taking the 10 instead of the 91. I can't do that freaking overpass from the 15 to the 91. Pretty sure I'm going to fly right off the side.

And shouldn't you be in school or something??

Love the PCH by the way. Great drive all the way down to SanDog.

This is California we are talking about here JDHA, try and keep up buddy

Tiny, please try and take some pictures for us East Coast folks that have no intentions of visiting Cali, but always wondered what it "really" looked like without all the magazines perfect pictures.

I'll see if I can get a few pics I took in DC of the cherry blossoms and what not as a trade

Picture Baghdad except with water. Of course I was in Long Beach and it has been quite a few years, other areas may look like Baghdad including the lack of water.

Yeah. Cain spent some time in Baghdad and I'm pretty sure he'll tell you it's nothing like that.

Nope... Nothing at all like Baghdad. Although, you can wear a red or blue bandanna in Baghdad and it WON'T be the reason you get shot at.

Funny you guys think no one owns guns in Cali. Our neighbor has a number of guns. Cain's been over there to look at 'em a couple times, he could name what they are.

And we post pictures of Cali all the time. Check the trail section.

Not my favorite place, I like San Diego better, but it was cool watching Cain point out all the streets and names he remembered from old TV shows. Tomorrow is the beach.

Traffic? Depends on if you mean traffic for LA or traffic for some other part of the country. Not too bad. I'm good at timing it. This afternoon though, we hit some stagnating areas on the highway.

Hell if you want real Cali hell Cain have her take you on the 101 up by Ventura. That's supposedly the most heavily traveled road in america.

I feel for you boss having to head into town. Hope you got your fill of it for awhile.

X2. being military I unfortunately get stationed in places like here in maryland. The trafific is horrible, fortunately I work a mid-shift so most folks are at work or at home on my commute. Still stresses me out though; we went to Best Buy which is 2.4 miles from my house, took 23 minutes to get there.
