Well, I usually eat too much but I've never puked from overeating on Turkey Day. Each year before the big feast I tell myself that I'm not going to indulge as much as in previous years. I never seem to follow through with that plan.

I have a turkey in the smoker right now. The big meal starts at 4:00. A couple of weeks ago I made a modified recipe of Chex Mix and smoked it. It supposedly gets better a few weeks after it has been smoked, so I sealed a double batch in some ziplock bags and I've managed to not get into the bags during that time. I will have it in a large bowl for anyone who wants to sample my concoction while they are waiting for everything else to cook.

That Chex mix looks good. Have not had that for years. One year my dad at Thanksgiving smoked everything! The turkey the potatoes, peas, cranberry sauce, my mother the dog. It was terrible. Could not get the smoke taste out of my mouth for days. That was puke worthy.

We had a great day yesterday and I hope yours was the same. 12 friends and relatives over for dinner. This was about the first time I didn't keep eating until I felt miserable. Plenty of leftovers, though.
