I'm a fan of ibuprofen, like Advil or Motrin, but see a Dentist ASAP.
THAT is where the relief really is.

If it is an abscess, painkillers might not touch it, that's why the Dentist.

Hope you feel better soon man.

I would suggest reading what the bottle says about the dose. It all depends on how many mg's the Mortin is.

Misses this . Sorry

Clove oil works if you can find it.

And I've found ibuprofen AND Tylenol
Or Motrin works best.

Trust me..... I know best haha

Motrin is good, 3 over the counter pills is the same as prescription strength. But I like Alieve better. Think it kills nerve pain much better (Have Sciatica have to take too much pain pills). I take 3 alieve also.

Toothaches are miserable, luckily you guys have a dentist on the forum!!

Take (4) tabs ibuprofen 200mg to equal 800 mg
THEN
take (2) tabs extra strength acetominophen 500mg

Repeat this process every 8 hours, do not exceed 4000 mg acetominophen in a 24 hr period as this will cause some nasty repercussions for your renal system. What seems to stimulate the pain?
Ibuprofen is the most effective against dental discomfort. The regimen I gave you above is about equal to a dosage of vicodin 5/500. Very effective
Anywhosies, I'd find a local dentist as fast as you can, most are great about getting patients in for emergency, pallative tx.
Hope you find relief!

Chew on beeswax - a bee keeper friend turned me on to this homeopathic remedy and it does work.

PS - in the US they recently lowered the maximum recommended daily dose for tylenol (acetaminophen) to 3000 mg.

I like Dr. Bombay's Secret Elixer and floss if you want to winch out yoursef (as in in Bombay gin)
