One of the best shows on tv. Funniest part was watching them put the animals in their vans.

It's not the original Top Gear that on the BBC, it's the American version that's on History channel Tuesdays 9/8C. If you want to catch it on History, it will repeat tonight later.

I love both. I think the American Version is more comical. (Not saying th British one isn't, the banter between those three is classic.) The British version is more technical and in depth. IMO

I have no interest in the british one.. Tried to watch it a few times and It didn't come across as any good..

Thats my bad as to not seeing it on the guide.. for some reason I thought it was on discovery and this is comming from someone who watched 5 episodes or more last season.. my memory is starting to go.. I blame my old age

The 2nd season of the US version is great. I'm starting to enjoy it almost as much as the UK. The UK has had 18 seasons to get it down. I watch their new episodes a couple hours after they air in the UK. I even wore my "Kung Fu Stig" shirt today!

I watch the UK episodes on Netflix all the time. The American version is great because of the HD content but the banter seems forced compared to the UK version.

I'm loyal to both...

The banter isn't quite the same on the American Version.. but yes I think both are good shows. Really entertaining to watch Adam smash something every week.

You can get the current season of the UK show by torrent through finalgear.com, even in HD.

I just love the UK version. Of course I lived in the UK for a couple of years so I get all their lingo and jokes. The US version is OK I guess. A couple times now I've thought about just not watching it anymore. Especially after watching the first few episodes of season 3. I mean each episode consists of just one challenge with a couple of brief breaks where they make a few comments about the challenge, then throw a "big star small car" moment in the middle somewhere and that is it. Gettin kind of lame if you ask me.

The U.K. version is far superior, but that isn't saying the U.S. version is bad by any stretch. The banter in the U.S. version just feels forced sometimes, and the personalities aren't as good as with the U.K. version.

I think the personalities are great in the US version but that's because I like Rut and Tanner . Did anyone see the episode this year where they drove big rigs?

I've never been able to get into the American version. The original is the only one for me.

Yup, it was just like when they did it on the UK version, except less funny.

I missed that episode for the UK series. I thought it was kinda comical watching Tanner hit the car.

Got hooked on the BBC version years ago, hilarious. I really learn a lot about Euro cars too. Not that I really give a **** for beemers or fiats, but it is interesting to see the differences in technology and taste between them and us.

I am warming up to the US version, particularly Rutledge. Seems like an everyday kinda guy who is having a blast doing the show.

I think Rutledge is a funny guy, he does a lot on Speed for NASCAR as well. Tanner is one of the best drivers i've ever seen. When he drifted an F350 Duely Super Duty around Rut and Adam I was amazed!!

Not a huge fan of the US version, it just seems too scripted. Maybe if it last more then a couple of seasons it will mesh out.

I've been a fan of the original since it first aired (was living in Europe at the time).

So - does anyone recognize where they shot this week’s episode? What trail they were they on? What road it was with the switch backs? The aerial shots and fall colors were spectacular. I would like to see the location in person.

Are you kidding? You do realize that EVERY episode of the American show is a ripoff reproduction of the British show, only with 95% less flavor? Whatever American show you liked (like the truck challenge for instance) go and watch the British version. It is no wonder it is the most popular show on the planet, yes on the planet.

Again, watch the big rig british version, and tell me you like the American one better.
