Tough Mudders

Anyone here participate in these events before? Or maybe planning on it this coming year?
Me and a buddy have agreed to run the Bear Creek, PA event in April 2011.
Gotta get my legs in shape and keep up on the pushups and pullups...feel the burn

I grew up with a tough mudder. If I didn't mow the lawn and trim the edges to her liking she beat me like a rented mule.

Some of you military guys might like this. Im sure bootcamp is no comparison and was much harder, but the whole theme/spirit of the event is somewhat similar.

I actually was going to sign up for the Bear Creek one but it ended up being closed. My buddy and I were then going to travel to do another one, but he backed out on me. It woulda been a great way to motivate me to get my fat ass into shape.

The registration for Bear Creek 11' is open now. Its around 100 bucks and rises as it gets closer to the event..

I just started my couch to 5k app and I'm up to 90 secs of running with 2 mins of walking.. I'm feeling the burn. I think I'm ready :-p

More of these races are popping up, there are tons of variations of them. I've done some, man are they fun!

I know there is another one called Warrior Dash. The mudder is supposed to be the toughest. Being that it has the longest runs and most obstacles. Guess I'll find out. I might end up doing the Warrior dash too if there is one near by and I feel up to it.
