They are good solid, reliable trucks just very boring to drive. I had a 2003, my dad had a 2006 and currently drives a 2012. My 2003 with the TRD off road package was very capable off road, though obviously not as nimble as a jeep. If i needed a pickup truck that is the only one i would consider. I made the mistake of buying a 2008 chevy colorado a few months before i got the tacoma. Whatever you do, dont buy one of those. biggest financial mistake of my life
edit- backseat is tiny in any that are 2004 or earlier. It was a huge pain putting a car seat in it when i was watching my 6 month old niece.
I have had a 93 since new..... most capable vehicle I have EVER owned..... INCLUDING most of my Jeeps.(not my CJ5 but it was built like a tank)
I still have it, over 200K miles, clutches, tires, and brake parts only things replaced.... I could NEVER be able to say that about a Jeep product....NONE of them.....
"For Gawd's sake, put a RELAY in there or you could burn the whole damn Jeep to the ground" ...this quote brought to you by people who do not understand the law.....Kirchoff's, Ohm's, or Faraday's.
Violation of KISS shall always ring false in TRUE engineering. - ME___
Had 75CJ5, 89YJ, 93YJ. Have 82CJ7 & 95YJ____Not one burnt yet due to lack of relays.
