UPS USA Double Their International Rates

Hello.

Some hours ago I got a call from www.4wd.com.
UPS USA doubles the international shipping rates today.
Shipping the parts I ordered (170 lbs) to Germany should cost 320$ before, now I would have to pay 700$ for the same package.
Are they crazy?

Now 4wd.com and I are searching for another way to ship the parts to me. I hope we´ll find a solution as soon as possible.

Do you have an idea which parcel service or forwarding agency has cheap shipping rates?

I wish I would now somebody who´s stationed here in Germany, then I could use his APO address.

Shipping rates suck right now - I've used http://www.uship.com/ in the past (edit:doesn't look like they do overseas) with good results.

EDIT: Sorry man, no help, I feel your pain though..

Fuel costs are killing the shipping industry. They have no choice but to raise rates or go out of business. believe me, they've been eating some serious losses.

I like 4wd.com. They have a very good and fast service and technical support.
But with that high shipping rates I can´t buy my parts there in the future.

btw. I just got a quote from quadratec. there the shipping for the same parts only costs 215$. i think i´ll order the parts there from now on.
