Virginia Tech Tragedy

Wow, It's so hard to believe that so many lives are being upset due to the calousness of one man with a vendetta. I've been watching the news reports in awe all day long.

To any of you that have been either directly or indirectly affected by this tragedy. Please know that the thoughts of Wrangler Forum are with you all.

I don't know what to say.
Prayers go out to all affected.

I don't think anyone can watch this sort of thing happen during their lifetime and not be affected in some way. The growing number of these sorts of tragedies is mind numbing. My first thought was why didn't he just shoot himself in the first place and not take any innocent people with him.

I hadn't heard the reports until just a few moments ago and it's gotten to the point that I just don't want to know. I can't understand why, so I just don't want to know.

I can't imagine what the parents trying desperately to call their children at that college must have gone through. My heart goes out to each and everyone who was there including those who were there through a loved one.

I have been involved, kinda, with a school shooting, but LONG before all this. The shooter was a friend, and even when you know the person, it is still damn near impossible to comprehend the emotions going on to cause such a meltdown.

These incidents make me sad, scared, nervous, and VERY angry. There is little in the legal system to prevent this kind of thing, only ways to keep the honest people honest.

He filed the serials off the guns. I see more gun control coming. Sad the few have to ruin it for the rest.

I heard that also today. If that guy wanted to go postal on his whole campus he'd of done it no matter what the gun laws are. It's just a shame that someone having so many internal issues had to involve an entire college community in his problems and then take the punk way out and shoot himself too.

I was glad to see the President go down there today to talk to the kids.

It is awefully sad. My poor GF has some very close friends at VT.

I do agree with the gun control though. People here are already screaming bloody murder, trying to take all the guns away. I can tell you from personal experience living in Maryland (Very strict on guns) and having 300 acres in West Virginia (Not Florida, but not nearly as strict as MD) that West By-God Virginia is a MUCH safer place, even in the towns, than MD where only criminals walk around armed.

With that said (God it feels good to get that off my chest) I wish there was something we could do to help ease the pain for the familys. Seems all we can do is give money for funerals etc. and pray.
