wanna show off your garages?

ive got this house ive been workin on for the past two years as a father son type project (me being the son) its my first house and have had it as a contract for deed since we got it. well now that its done, im financing it and closing on it here in the next couple weeks, which is goin to leave me more than enough money to build a nice sized garage. cant decide on what size to build how high the doors should be etc. i know i want it atleast 28 deep but width im still unsure of, maybe 36 but dont know. anybody have any pics or recomendations on how big to go, or any unique setups? any input would be appreciated! thanks

man that is sweet, i'm lucky to have the one i got, but its not tall enough, standard door sucks. get a 10 ft. door, and at least one two car door, not multiple single car doors. i want one with a tall enough ceiling to have a hoist at home. that's the only way to work on cars, i can't stand working on the ground since i started in this business. an electric two post hoist really isn't too expensive, you can get a good one for a few grand. if you do, you'll never wanna be on your back again. how about a nice custom floor, heating and air conditioning, and the whole upstairs can be the new headquarters for your club. i could go on, but i won't. have fun with that.

no matter how big you build it it will eventually look like this, a frame, body, hard top, and drive line take up a lot of space, along with the fridge, two work benches, harley, and futon, i'm gonna stop now. garages are cool, everyone calls mine the man cave, and women aren't aloud, unless they are bringing beverages or something

All I can say is, you can never build it too big......... Make sure you make the door(s) tall enough to get your lifted Jeep in there.

Your garage, Scout. Not your kitchen.

I'm just jealous, Scout. My kitchen is smaller than my jeep and the doors of my garage are too low to fit my jeep under.

When we bought our last house I asked for a 3 car garage and whatever house was attached. The wife won....4 damn bedroom house with a California 2 car garage. Which equals one car and the table saw & workbench. Not as pretty as Scout's kitchen but at least the rig sits inside most of the time.

Well I guess I don't have any pictures of just the garage. I never really thought I would need any I guess.

Here's a picture of the Jeep sitting in the middle stall. It's a 3 car garage.

I know it isn't as fancy as some garages but it is HUGE. It's 26.5 feet deep by 28.5 feet wide (755 sq ft). I could almost park two Jeeps bumper to bumper in one stall.

I have a refrigerator and a bathroom as well as a bunch of old kitchen cabinets () that the owner before me installed. They come in handy as it gives me tons of storage space.

haha yeah im already gathering the furniture needed for the new garage! my brother works for budweiser and is making me a full size kegerator, and yes the lift will come soon, probably next years taxes. ive got one at work and i dont know what id do with out it! scouts got just bout what i have in mind with the cabinets, my dad put cabinets up in his garage and they are extra handy for waxes, and lil odds and ends that fill up the counter spaces. i def want atleast heat, but then again a/c would be nice cause we have super humid summers around here. i'll keep yall posted on what else comes to my mind. oh yeah and im def lookin into those 10 ft. doors. my jeep probably wont ever get that tall , but my old silverado will be!
