Washington & Oregon

Has anyone heard from Skeeter or Amy, today, after the bad storm they had up there?

We're still here. Our fence almost blew over and we need to replace a couple of posts but we're still in one piece otherwise.

Thanks for asking, Blu.

It definitely wasn't your average blow job.
We're ok, thanks.
The guys over on the wet side actually got hit much harder.

Did you have the big blow too, Fox? I hope all of our PNW folks are ok.
We just got a flood warning because we went from 20 degrees and 4-5 inches of snow to 56 degrees, lots of wind and a whole bunch of rain.

I can't even imagine. We get some sh*t here, (Tornados, Floods, Hail, Huricanes, Drought, etc) but I have never, personally had damage. Well, some hail on the roof...4 doors down, a tornado wiped out the house, 2 miles away, hail the size of canteloupes was ruining appliances ('cause it was going through the roof). Thank God I can't imagine. If we can help, let us know! (I ain't shitting you!)

I think some of the people around the area down here have flood damage. I know that a few I know who live in certian areas we can't even get ahold of them cause phones are down and the highways are closed. oh well hopefully open up tonight or tomorrow.

Skeeter, this wasn't time-specific, however, I have sucessfully re-roofed several domiciles in the winter, here. In Texas, chances are, no matter what the temp is, in at least 7 days, the weather will warm enough to stick the tar-strips. I have had to scrape snow off, just to nail shingles, and the next day, was working in short sleeves, getting sun-burned. It get's cold here, but it doesn't stay that way for more than a couple of days. Snow, sleet or ice rarely last more than a day, here. Once, we had 2 inches of sleet, and 6 inches of snow, in one morning, the next day (afternoon) it was gone, except in the shade. (Wow, did we have some fun, that day!)

Glad you guys didn't get too hard. Crap, down here in the Tri Cities, it was just a slightly windy day. No more than 35 to 40 mph...........

I didn't even know we had a storm anyplace close until I heard the news. They said there were 70 ft waves on the Columbia River Bar and 100 + mph winds all up and down the coast.

Now don't forget the periodic late winter ice storms. I remember when I moved back to the Big D in Jan 03. Mid Feb it was sleet for 2 or three days before it started melting. The streets were bare. I was living in Lewisville and working in Plano so I just put it in 4 high, got in the George Bush toll way and scooted on to work each day. No traffic at all.

Glad you guys up north-west are well. Looks like those storms are moving east now.

We've been needing a new roof for a couple years but I keep putting it off, I'm terrified of heights, last time I got up there it took Amy an hour to coax me back down
