Did someone say Purolator? We had a plant that made filters in Fayetteville,NC. And of course we all knew it was on Purolator Road That was back in the day when you got your coffee from a silver perculator with the glass knob on top. None of the drip stuff. And we ground our 8 O'clock coffee at the A&P when we bought it. Now what did I come in here for again?

Whats a peculator?
In a car, the large silver thing next to the brake pedal might not be a dimmer switch, on my second car it was a dimmer switch, on my first car it was the starter switch.

Butch wax was a hair gel used for flattops atd crew cuts

And a peculator, ios a coffee pot with no digital display on it, one that never burns the light bulb out, and makes real coffee, not csome weak tea looking stuff strained through a recycled news paper

I remember my dad having a '54 or so pickup that had the starter on the floor. Don't ask me how I know it was a starter since I was under 8 yo at the time

I did not want to mention the possibility of the starter being there. That would confuse all the younguns.

Yep, came in a stick, so you could comb it up straight. (If I remember right, I haven't owned a comb for years.)

Remember the sound they made?
