they both want to regulate. one your money, the other your morality. I'm not going to vote for the lesser of 2 evils. give me someone that's actually worth voting for, and I will. I have yet to see folks getting on the ticket that are.
I think I lub you!

If you've never voted them IMO you don't have a right to complain. There are always Independant candidates, or you can write in "Snoopy" just to make a statement.

Sure you can.
There's a George Carlin routine about this.

I have a right to complain. as if these politicians don't take away enough of my rights, you want to take away my right to complain. I live here. this is MY government, MY country, MY money, MY rights, and MY reps. why vote for one tyrant over another? why vote independent?

I'm Libertarian. traditional Constitutional Conservative. the party I pledge loyalty to is a joke of a 3rd party, in a 2 party system. if no one follows my political philosophies running, why vote for them? that's like having 2 Democrats running, and you're a Conservative, and I tell you to just vote for one. would you?

I'm not voting to choose which rights I'd like to lose the next 2 years. I'm going to be voting to not lose any, maybe even get some back. and even having said that, given the state of the corrupt Supreme Court, the all powerful Executive Branch, a joke of a Congress that has as much morality as a maximum security prison ward and cares more of party lines than the people they rep, and an undeclared 4th branch of government that regulates, spends, creates wealth, and answers to nobody, in addition to none of them being voted in...why bother?

those Senators and Congressmen don't care about you if it's not an election year. they don't work for you. I'm not making a statement by writing in a name. hell, the Tea Party movement isn't getting government attention. what makes you think me writing in a name will?

I have a right to complain because this isn't how the game is supposed to be played. politics isn't supposed to be a career, an agenda, a ponsi scheme, nor a power grab. it's a voice. your voice. that's it. when someone has my voice, I'll vote. until then, I laugh at most voters. they vote, get mad a year or 2 later, then repeat the cycle. term after term. perhaps if more folks sounded off and stopped voting, a different quality of candidate may emerge.

it's sort of starting. folks are still upset at Republicans, and the Dems are trying to flush what we have left of Capitalism in the toilet. who do you vote for when both parties managed to get into the dog house at the same time?

the lesser of 2 evils again? no thanks.

I've found fox news to be more accurate and balanced than any other news outlet but I always attempt verify anything I find questionable from any source and I monitor numerous sources.

That's exactly what's happening right now.

Fast forward 20 years:

A presidential candidate from Saudi Arabia? Sure! no problem. I think Obama set precedent for that one back..when was it ?

It's a slippery slope people.
Again, his mother was an American citizen.
We currently grant citizenship to babies born to illegal aliens. Anyone born to an American citizen should automatically be a citizen and if I'm not mistaken that is current policy.
Booting Obama out on a minor technicality would do far more damage than he will if he stays in office.

How many of you participate in the Tea Party movement?
How many of you participate in local politics?
How many make your voice heard before, during and after the primaries?
We can change who gets elected. We can demand that those who get elected do as they promise. We have the power but only if we get off our collective asses and actually do something. Sitting around and complaining won't change a damn thing. Voting for third parties, or not voting at all won't change a damn thing.
The republicans have been, and soon the democrats will be getting a message they can't ignore and they haven't been able to stop because a few people have had the guts to stand up for fiscal conservatism at the Tea Party rallies.
The price of freedom is vigilance.

It happens all the time.
I received this e-mail and I thought that I would put it out there. It does not necessarily reflect my opinion, but it does make a point relative to this discussion.

I do NOT know the accuracy of this source, but it does give one the
opportunity to pause and ponder ...

Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in
a way you can understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic.
Someone over there has it figured out. We have a lot of work to do.

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a
citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will
be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to
restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved
electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is
much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of
what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone
to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic
can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less
likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their
president."

Excellent quote and very, very true IMO.
Acknowledging this problem is a start. There's a lot at stake.

Umm, it sounds to me like they're defending him against some unnamed critics. Can you find a full clip so we could see what was said in context?
BTW, that clip is from Fox and friends, their morning gossip show. They run with the same kind of fluff the morning shows on the other networks run. It's not the news portion.

it happens. I don't like debating politics. when you think about it, we both just want what's best for the country. I don't know your political views, but I'm sure we have a lot in common.

I still remember the day the Trade Center fell, and the days after. I remember how EVERYONE just meshed and nothing mattered. race, political views, age, gender, nothing. I still keep that close. I taped that building fall that day, and the clips of the following days. I watch it every 9-11 to relive and not let that feeling afterwards die and become complacent. at least against citizens, I don't get upset or debate to long about issues because I know we all just want what's best and in the end, we all really do love this country.

politicians I view as dirty, scaming, thieves. they play in the same league as lawyers, insurance agents, and car dealers. crooks. my apologies if anyone reads this that's one of those occupations. it's just how I am with these guys as an initial impression.

unless you're a politician. I'm not sorry then

When Obama died,George Washington met him at the pearly gates. He slapped him across the face and yelled "How dare you destroy the nation I helped conceive?"
Patrick Henry approached him and punched him in the nose and shouted "You wanted to end our liberties, but you failed."
James Madison followed, kicked him in the groin and said"This is why I allowed our government to provide common defense"
Thomas Jefferson was next, beat Obama with a long cane and snarled"It was evil men like you who inspired me to write the Declaration of Independence".
The beatings and thrashings continued as George Mason,James Monroe and 66 other early Americans unleashed their anger on the radical socialist leader.
As Obama lay bleeding and in pain,an angel appeared.Obama wept and said"This is not what you promised me"The angel replied " I told you there would be 72 Virginians waiting for you in heaven, what did you think I said?"You really need to pay attention when someone is trying to tell you something.

How do you feel about the Mosque being built right near 1 World Trade Center?
How do you feel about the name being changed from Freedom Tower to 1 World Trade Center?

involving the mosque, I have mixed feelings. it angers me, but they have a right and freedom to own property and build whatever they please on it. but on the other side of the coin...I view building a mosque near the Trade Center site to be rude, disrespectful, and in extremely foul taste. I dont think the state or city should disallow it, but I think the owner should take it upon his or herself and choose a different location. apparently these folks have no respect or class if they indeed go through with it. just my opinion.

as for the name of the new Trade Center, it doesn't bother me. they could build another on the site, name it whatever they choose, erect it somewhere else, not build it at all..nothing would bother me. it is what it is I guess. the memory of the event won't leave anyone's mind ever. similar to Pearl Harbor, Gettysburg, the Boston Tea Party, or any other major events and tragedies in American History. we may not have learned anything from that event, but it won't be forgotten.

How Virginia and Missouri are rejecting the healthcare bill. Virginia by filing in federal court and Missouri by voting not to participate. Debates wether they will succeed or not. Other little tidbits and a story on our 2nd amendment rights. Nothing I was alerted about by my usually reliable source.

honestly, this is what you went off of? A passed around urban legend and you posted it here. Great reliable source

Look, honestly again here is what is wrong with the Republican Party. They're attacking the President for wearing fancy pants. They're attacking the President for not being a US citizen. It's the same rhetoric over and over again.

Barack Obama is just as much as a natural born citizen as John McCain was. Even if he was born outside the US (as John McCain was) under Section 301(c) of the Immigration Act, ""And the children of citizens of the United States, that may be born beyond sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born citizens." Obama is just as much a citizen of the United States as John McCain is.

What's wrong with this country is all the party politics. The Dems do this. The Republicans do this. Honestly, if you think they're any different you're wrong. Corzine used NJ state funding to help fund three North Jersey Arenas and Horse Racing Parks. Gov Christie is eliminating that funding.... and giving it to Atlantic City instead! Under what President were the bailouts started? Republicans. Sure Dems love to lambast Republicans for the war, but Reps and Dems alike voted FOR and AGAINST the war. STOP PLAYING PARTY POLITICS, AND PLAY TO THE CANDIDATE! It's not an US v Them mentality we need - it's a what is best for the country.

Now that stated, without using these ridiculous preacher-style rhetoric (Chucky Cheese I'm looking at you) answer my question, what has Barack Obama done as a President that has absolutely destroyed our country and worse then other past Presidents have done?
