Weird Little Endearing Things Your Significant Other Does

After 32 years you don't get annoyed anymore... you just look at those strange things your mate does and laugh.

Always stops the microwave on 6, 11, or 14 seconds to remove their food. That way you have to hit clear before you can heat anything.

She eats 1/3 of a white chocolate macadamia cookie. Babe, you either want a cookie, or you don't - 1/3 of a cookie? Pulease.

Puts the old newspapers outside the back door into the garage. 6 feet from the recyling container.

Surely you have some to share.

Any volume or anthing adjustable with a number scale has to be set on an even number. Multiples of 5 are better and mulitples of 10 are the best. I know exactly where he is coming from so don't give him any crap about it.

Whenever we have dinner with pasta or rice, she will go back after finishing and get a clean bowl to have a second helping. In 12 days it will be 29 years and it still makes me laugh! It must be really good in a separate dish??

LOL.
My 5 year old son wants a clean fork for every different kind of food on his plate and sometimes it has to be a spoon for certain food even though a fork works just fine.

20 years last month. She's always right, I'm alwys wrong. She cleans house every weekend...but all she cleans is stuff she messed up or left out. Still can'r figure that out. I clean as I go. Oh! Finish with a glass or cup and set it next to the sink RIGHT ABOVE THE DISHWASHER!

my hubby does the even number thing too. it really bothers him when the volume is on an odd number. i have actually started to embrace this and will keep stuff on even numbers for him.

luckily I'm the one with most of the "odd ticks"...but some of them she shares, which makes compliance much better. ha
-extra time left on the microwave=bad mojo.
-lock on gunsafe must be left on zero. (i don't know why, I just like it this way)
- doors closed. all of them.

those are all I can think of right now. I'm not going to ask her...as I'm sure there are more.

The only even multiples of 5 are also multiples of 10.

10yrs last April. Mine when she gets a little tired or is sick breaks things out of clumsyness. Mostly dished and especially my favorite cups. I have just in the past couple of weeks started to accept the fact that it is inevitable and stop getting angry when it happens.

My wife grew up as a 'country girl' in east Texas, so I make fun of her accent. She is always "fissin" to do something. It wasn't until we got together that she learned that potatoes are "mashed", and not "smashed". Her grammar is quite good, but sometimes her dialect comes out, and she throws out one of her typical sayings like "how do you like them bowl of cherries?"

We're about to hit 9 years.

I really like the way mine has a funny line for something I may say in anger, it makes me laugh & then I can't be angry. But leaving the lights on drives me nuts! I have learned to just leave them on it isn't worth the hassle of turning them all off after him, he is getting a lot better at it though

Haha. Same here! I actually think he does it with the volume on the radios in his truck also. I was beginning to think it was an OCD thing!

I don't know if it would be endearing to most... he yells out orders in his sleep and sometimes he pries my eyes open and makes like he's checking my pupils for responsiveness.

-he sleep talks in Arabic (he's fluent... one of the funniest things I have ever seen)
-I have to wake him up EVERY day
-I yell at him in Arabic and talk to his parents in Arabic...

lol who would have thought an irish kid would be going off in arabic
it sounds like a relationship haha.... oh the joys of college and roommates

My wife does this. Usually about an hour after forcing me to drink a glass of wine she poured for me. Should I be worried?

When she starts checking you for wounds, yes. You may want to stop letting her ply you with liquor.

My wife is obsessive about cleaning. Just try to finish a glass of tea, if it sets more than a minute..............its in the sink and cleaned and put away. I have drawers full of clothing but I never have worn anything below the first layer in any drawer, the dirty's are always immediately cleaned, folded and put away. I hate to be the first one to bed, its always made and there's too much decorative crap on it. Going to bed should not be that difficult.

For reasons that should be obvious, I plead the 5th.
