What Do You Think?

The state of Washington has a proposal in their legislation to discourage large engines, encourage folks to go with the electric vehicles, to help fight global warming. There will be an annual fee assessed on the vehicles per the engine size. It is Bill 6900. This is in addition to the regular annual fees. Below is the engine size and annual fee. Remember, this is in addition to sales tax, property tax, registration, etc.

Engine Size (liters) Rate Schedule
Up to 1.9 $0
2.0 - 2.9 $70
3.0 - 3.9 $225
4.0 - 4.9 $275
5.0 - 5.9 $325
6.0 - 7.9 $400
8.0 or over $600
99 XJ Sport
3" Skyjacker lift
31 x 10.50 General Grabbers

lawmakers have about as much clue as the cardboard the game is printed on.

I think I would move out of state..... I can run anything I want in PA as long as it passes safety inspection ($45/year).

All my cars are v8's (except my Jeep)

It ain't no fun unless you get some of it on you.

This law is a just bad idea altogether... but if they absolutley must make it go, make it based on fuel mileage not engine size or raise teh tax on fuel .02 or something... those who use teh gas most should pay not those who own a motorhome with a trirton v-10 that they use twice a year..

but again.. stupid idea in its entireity anyway.
