What Gos around, comes around

Back around 80-81,I Was rideing my sportster from Wis to Cali
took my time well anyway There was a spot on the kansas
turnpike that was 130 miles between gas stations.
I had a small gas tank that got just about that.

Well I ran out of gas ,it had to be 100+ out
I was only a hundred yards from a overpass so I started pushing
and before I got to the shade a loaded down station wagon
pulling a trailer with 2-3 kids Stopped
He had a can full of gas gave me a gallon for free
he wouldnt take a penny

I dont remember how many days 3-4 maybe later but
in was around navada
I got off to eat gas and whatever and
There they sat broke down trailer If I remember right
All they had was traveler checks and diner wouldnt take

I bought them all lunch

Its funny how much you see the same car/bikes
on cross country trips

One trip a bud and I met 3 girls in a jeep at a rest area
well 10 hours later
we were looking for a watering hole
Dam if we didnt find that jeep
I will keep it PG ,HA

I love the road How about you?
Lets hear the Storys

"locked and loaded"

I love on the road stories, and I am still planning on my roadtrip cross country in my jeep. As long as JCF still lets me use her couch for a few days in Moab. lol.

My last one last summer involved me in the jeep and my buddies following me to my lake house in central NY. I don't know how detailed I can get, but we met these two girls at a rest stop heading up there. They were heading in the same direction and I would pass them and then hit a hill and they would pass me for about two hours. After awhile they sent me a "signal", that they noticed me and were interested in me.

About 15 minutes later, we hit traffic and I ended up next to them so I started a conversation. They were apparently heading to another house on the same lake and were from Philadelphia where I am from. Needless to say my friends and I spent the week, partying with them and having a good time.
No more jeep for now
But I have free kandy and kittens in the back of my van
