What is it about EBAY that is so addictive?

So I got looking for a solenoid to run my ARB lockers on my OBD system and found them so I ordered. Bam done on its way.. And The I was in the zone VIAIR 2.5 gallon air tanks. Bam paid for on its way, VIAIR fittings relief valves is the next one.

With in 5 minutes and not having much recollection of the transactions I have two air tanks, a regulating manifold and plugs, pressure relief valves on the way to my house.. *L* EBAY kind of one those Love/Hate things right.

Instant (or damn close to it) gratification...few things beat that to most of us. E-Bay is a smorgasbord of stuff.

I don't use eBay as much as I used to do. Amazon seems to be my main choice for most things that are not Jeep related.

I like them both

I like them both but do prefer Amazon when they have what I need.

I find a couple of things at play:

Selection, price, and you can't beat the convenience of having something delivered to your door. I live in a rural area and everything is a special trip to town for a limited selection.

Case in point, I recently needed 5 cel phone cases for the family phones. Ordered off of Amazon, had them at my door in 4 days, and at less than 1/2 the price of Verizon. To me it's a no brainer!!

I do have to be careful though- it can get away from you quickly!

Amazon prime is well worth the cost if you buy a lot of stuff online.
I still like Ebay for some bargains but there are not as many as there used to be.

Ebay used to be a lot better. Years ago it was regular folks selling/buying things. Now there are just way to many "companies" selling a lot of junk.
Whenever I search on there I look for the "regular guy" photo to stop at and read his ad. Not the generic looking stock photo you see so much of.
I to have moved onto mostly buying from Amazon. I constantly go there to read reviews. Keep in mind though I just recently figured out there are many "spam" reviews set up to promote some products. You can tell when reading them by their generic comments.
Craigslist is also a very guilty pleasure of mine, I daily search "Jeep" in the auto parts section just to see what's out there in my area...

Me to.. I love Craigslist..

But yea EBAY is good for some stuff. Yea a loft of things are WAY over priced or $1 and 599 for shipping I would like to see EBAY enforce some rules against stuff like that. Vendors trying to sucker in customers hoping they will not notice the High shipping to off set the low price.

But I just picked up tow VIAIR 2.5gal air tanks for $59 bucks each free shipping.

AMAZON is pretty good to. I like there program where they will buy your stuff.

I usually get involved in all different hobbies or activities to keep me busy. Being that they are always changing I usually use eBay to buy stuff, then sell it when I'm done with it. I started playing guitar and was acquiring a few different types, brands, ect. After getting a small collection I sold the ones that I wasn't crazy about on eBay.
Last year I bought a guitar on eBay for 350 shipped free, this year I sold the guitar for 335+ shipping. So I basically rented a guitar for the year and it cost me $15.
