For a minute there I thought I'd clicked on HerpFamily.com lol
What a cutie. I can't decide between getting a beardie or a tokay... or maybe a crested gecko?

I'm a firm believer in getting to know your pet and the name will come to you.

My daughter has 2 beardies and 2 fat tail geckos at the house.
Her Beardies are named Ziggy and Yoshi

Here is Ziggy drying off and keeping warm in his Towel Taco after he was in the tub.

Name him Karen. That's what I named my bellybutton.

Why would he name his beardie after your bellybutton? That is just weird!

Are you calling my bellybutton weird?

And my bellybutton has been known to eat meal worms. Sometime's she gets out of control. So it's not that much of a stretch to name his beardie after my navel.

I think all you reptile lovers should post on HerpFamily.com...I hear it's a great site...

I had a bearded dragon that was named "Hector"...that was what his previous owner named him, not one I came up with...but I liked it enough to stick with it.

Amy,

IMO... I can't keep beardies anymore. They're cute and really cool...don't get me wrong, but when they take their massive morning dump. Holy hell does it ever clear the room!

Crested geckos and tokays both have a place in my heart... I own two species of gecko currently...a tokay and a crested. LOL

Both are cool in their own way...cresteds, especially babies are hilarious to watch at night. They're tame and handleable...though they can be a bit jumpy...and they're easy to care for and even easier to breed. Tokays are more interesting to observe but really aren't able to be handled as I'm sure you're well aware...my tokay is about as calm as my crested, but most would rather try to remove your fingertips than be held. Taming tokays is a really enjoyable adventure though...and if you're successful, it totally pays off.

I just got my new pet today... a 2009 normal male ball python. Got it for $10 + shipping from a friend of mine. I need to come up with a name for him too...lol

Full grown adult... 2 ft tops (including tail)...most will stay a lil smaller than that. Minimum cage size for a single adult (not sure for a pair) is a 40 gal breeder.

Hey my name is Paul, lets just call him Jerry. So then when you think WWJD you can just go talk to your beardie.

It's okay though... my friend ended up giving him to another friend after it kept escaping (I tried to explain to him that they may not be arboreal...but they will still need a top on the cage...and he wouldn't listen...it kept jumping onto their bed and pooping at the end of it...lol). This guy's still got him as far as I know...and he built a great big, super nice display cage for him. They absolutely LOOOOVED him...and they spoiled him quite a bit. haha

When a friend of mine got hers, I named it Modena for her she thought it was a beautiful name. lol, little did she know it was named after a Ferrari, not the Italian city. then one day she asked how I came up with it, apparently I wasn't as original as she thought.
